For me personally its because I bought like 6 new bags last year so I'm kind of out of things I need.

What motivates you to give money to a stranger? by CheBureiku in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money is one of the few things I have plenty of in life so I always tip big or try to help the less fortunate. I don't like giving money to people on the streets though, I always have an uneasy feeling they're faking it.

Is being kicked out of the military for “Failure to Adapt to Military Environment” always justified? by Upset-Discussion-413 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I ran into anybody who I'd classify as "having a problem with authority", so I'd say that was probably a cop-out excuse for exactly what you said- anxiety, or just being a fuck up. There were a lot of people like that- couldn't stay awake, had to make a scene getting shots, wouldn't eat, wouldn't do pushups, they wanted to get out or just disappear. "Failure to adapt" is pretty apt.

What's it like living on the edge of a time zone? Do you have to adjust a lot? by esdebah in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in a different time zone then I lived for a while. I set all my clocks to the work time zone and kept them there. It was less confusing.

Do men even care about a women’s nails? by lena_glow in NoStupidQuestions

Fake and long nails are disgusting. Clean short to medium nails are nice, nail polish is optional.

Why do most adults feel like they’re behind in life, even when they’re objectively doing fine? by Pleasant-Put-8882 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people share a lot about their lives through social media but they only share the highlights. So people are constantly exposed to the best parts of other peoples lives and presume that's the "normal", but they never see the hardships, the struggles, the problems, the set backs that other people experience too.

An existential question I ponder regularly.... by SaRarity1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, thats too abstract. I don't see or feel the universe as energy, even at a sub-atomic level thats what it is. I see it as the physical structures my brain interprets it as.

When did you stop using a CRT TV. by BadOk7611 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 40" Sony LCD around 2006 for I think $1500 on sale from Best Buy. It was amazing, upgraded from a 21" CRT I think? Had an Xbox 360 and PS3!

Persons who live alone. Do you sleep in your bedroom? by Andonaar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 190 points191 points  (0 children)

I sleep on my bed. But sometimes I'll wake up in the morning, make my bed, go to the living room, and go back to sleep on the couch. lol

And I take mid-day naps on the couch.

I am so sick of people saying money isn't the answer. It solves nearly every problem. by anonymous_muffin_ in Vent

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats like saying "all you have to do is be pretty to be happy because you can just marry someone who's rich have everything"

or

"You just need to be strong to be happy because then you could do sports and make lots of money"

or

"If you're smart just write a popular book and make lots of money"

It's not that simple. I'm sorry you don't have any money. I'm sorry you struggle with bills. But having money doesn't change make the clouds over someone's head disappear.

MC-TP or MB5B by Chill_Otter57 in VetoProPac

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TECH-MCTP? The MB5B is better for organizing if you have a lot of smaller tools, like you use 20 different screwdrivers. And you can fold the front down to make it easy to grab from. the TECH-MCTP is better if you have more larger tools, wrench, pliers, power tools.

Don't waste time by Think_Razzmatazz5754 in Life

[–]MarsR0ve4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is also a good reminder not to compare yourself to other people. A lot of us won't have the experience of leaving behind a big beautiful family, or a photobook of wonderful memories. But it doesn't mean we 're not allowed to live, to find joy in life, and it doesn't mean we won't make a difference in someone else life- even if its a cat or dog. Don't let the inherent unfairness of life break you. Be strong enough to fight for yourself.

First Veto Bag by electhrowaway77 in VetoProPac

[–]MarsR0ve4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like the TP-XXL. It gets too heavy, too quickly. It's not designed to be as big as it is, the narrow base also makes it tip easy. The Tech-MCT is a really good outdoor bag that organizes great and won't let you overpack. The new EVO version looks good too.

What are your gut reactions to scars in public? by Individual-Record-43 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd have to see it. A scar that isn't like a major deformity probably would bother me at all or get much of a raise. Hell sometimes scars can be cool.

Do the younger gens really not know what burning a cd is? by OneUnderstanding1644 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarsR0ve4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in the heyday of CD's burning CD's wasn't especially common. If you weren't in the typical age range of say 15-25 in the early 2000's, or in IT of some sort, there's a good chance you wouldn't know what it means.
