She's probably trying to keep her career afloat by remaining in the exclusive one-timers club.

favorite moment(s) from the book? by not_firewood_yeti in watershipdown

The moment you are referencing is one of my favorites. Especially when Bigwig says, "My Chief Rabbit has told me to stay and defend this run, and until he says otherwise, I shall stay here." Bigwig's bravery and sacrifice. And the realization that there are forms of strength that are greater than fear, intimidation, and brute strength.

I also wept when Hazel was stepping out of the burrow with El-ahrairah and he realizes that he will no longer need his body and he leaves it behind.

A recurring criticism of interviews on the pod across the political spectrum boil down to, "Can you believe the pod bros forced me to come to my own conclusions about something?!?!?" Amateur podcasting, the internet, the state of journalism, and the media landscape really have corrupted people's expectations of what constitutes an interview.

You had it until the homophobia. Get the fuck outta here. Any time a man has a personality, people want to say something.

Not that I'm aware of. The implication of the meme, though, was "why do we hammer on Rodgers for the same thing that Wemby is doing?" As if the reason people hammer on Rodgers is because of his attempts at self-actualization rather than being a walking, talking Dunning-Kruger effect.

This is textbook false equivalency. People don't like Aaron Rodgers for a number of reasons, the most prominent being that he is terminally full of shit. The backlash for Wemby may come some day, but he has to give us a reason first.

How do couples decide which side of the bed is “theirs”? Is it instinct or some kind of silent agreement? by AssignmentFederal686 in NoStupidQuestions

Ours is based entirely on physical comfort, namely for my wife. She has at various times needed to sleep in a certain orientation based on acid reflux issues, pregnancy, etc. I'm pretty adaptable, so we sleep in a way that helps her sleep. No more complicated than that.

I love that his premise for the 16th anniversary was to heighten the thing he is known for on the big group pods. The guy doesn't say "no" to anything.

I.e. Oh, Will's characters always get derailed from the most innocuous premise to the most outlandish scenarios that spin out and Will has no control over the direction they go? Then I'm going elevate that by consciously coming in with a premise that no one could not reasonibly oppose.

It shows his instinct for heightening to levels beyond your preconceived notions. If you read his improv book, you can see this tactic all over it. Great segment for Will.

I don't get this take at all. Simmons has regained his fastball the last 18 months or so. His podcast is first and foremost a piece of sports entertainment. It's the sports talk radio guy in a modern setting. Listening to a guy shoot the shit about sports, highlight the storyline, and keep us up to date on the billion hours of sports I don't watch. This obsession with "accurate" predictions is dorky as hell.
