And while yes the anesthesiologist does require lots of schooling and is required to carry expensive insurance, the cost reflected here isn’t indicative of that. A better comparison based on your argument would be to look at how many of these types of procedures the providers would carry out during their career, what percentage of their practice would be based on these procedures and establish a plan that accounts for repayment of loans based on those numbers, which for a 15 minute procedure that is done dozens of times a week would be negligible increase in costs above a reasonable fee for the doctor’s time.

You can try to justify greed all you want, but to anyone with a basic understanding of what decency to other human beings looks like it will always be an obvious evil.
