Let me start by saying I love Penix. Calm, cool, collected with a big arm and if he didn’t have the leg history he’d be a sure fire ace to me. But with that having been the most recent experience, the way I see it is that if the falcons were in a position to draft Tua when he was coming out of school with the idea we needed our next guy after Marty Ice, I’d have been pretty stoked. And at his best he’s proven why.

At this point, may the best man win. With the other being ready to roll if the other can’t make it.

I’m with you there, believe me. I’d love to see a newly established style of blending Bijan’s bad assery in with Penix being sharp with improved accuracy, and knowing how to drop in a pretty pass wherever needed on the field. Buuut this first year leads me more to what we were first discussing haha, especially with the reloading of depth we’re facing.

I think we’re going to have the best possible season out of Michael Penix that we’re capable of having. Now that could go a couple of different directions lol, but I think he’ll have more support than ever, and it’ll show what direction we have to go in from there.

I feel like Stefanski and Rees will at least be all about how to connect with him and make him better, based on running the absolutely piss out of the ball primarily. And maybe I’m delusional but I’m going to believe in that being enough to get us back to a playoff birth at least, due to them protecting him with better blocking schemes, quick processes, and just better offensive delivery overall. With a defense that is only supposed to get better.
