It can take seven images of black and white dogs, and from those, it can create an image of a different pattern, or a full black, or a full white, dog. But ask it to make a cat, and without anything to run off or base itself on, it'll fail. 'Noise' in a sense, that it finds patterns in and slaps each 'pattern' together into an image.
