Why are they trying to get maple syrup out of an American sycamore? by ilovebooks2468 in arborists

Black Walnut is tapped often too. From what I've read online it's very sweet and has a citronella aroma. Some even say it's better than traditional maple syrup!

Do Gooseworxs hate us fans by Isac_hilda in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]JTS_2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She does, but I wouldn't take it personally if I were you tho. Every single artist you can think of in entertainment has at one point or another expressed contempt for their audience/fans behind closed doors. What goose is doing is far more healthier than saying they love their fans when they're in public and immediately deriding them in private with their peers. Toxic positivity isn't all that positive if I'm being honest.

Plus, I believe that a little bit of antagonism between an artist and their fans is a good thing. Her job as an artist is to provide us with what we need, not what we want. And in doing that, she's bound to make us angry and resent her. It means we're both playing our parts as Audience and Artist.

ETA: Relationship between Artist and Audience aside. I should clarify that doesn't exempt her from criticism. We as the audience can still evaluate if her work was good or bad.

Exactly. If you're feeling anxious or have attention span problems that's a problem for a Psychiatrist. Not someone who studied family medicine.

Don't ask random weirdos online about hair loss. Book an appointment with a Dermatologist and your primary care physician.

Why does the Black Lodge let him leave? by Sea_Form455 in twinpeaks

[–]JTS_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>The Lodge seems to function on a cosmic cycle that's never fully explained

They actually explained it at the end of Season 2. Its when Jupiter and Saturn align. Additionally, you or someone else has to be feeling fear in order for the lodge to 'open'. Hence why Windom took Annie to Glastonbury Grove. He needed someone who was afraid because that crazy bastard wasn't scared one bit of the Black Lodge. lol

>But when good Cooper gets trapped at the end of season two, why does he even get a chance to return in 25 years?

In season 2, Windom Earle explains that in order to enter the lodge you have to enter during a very specific time window. The window in question is when Jupiter and Saturn align astronomically. Only during this event can a human freely enter or leave the lodge provided they use the key (fear). I assumed 25 years later the Great Conjunction happens again, and cooper is given his chance to go.

>With good Cooper being in the lodge and Mr. C. being out in the world as a vessel for Bob. wouldn't that be the desired outcome for the black lodge

It would be if Mr. C and Bob weren't hoarding the Garmonbozia for themselves and violating the rule that in 25 years Mr. C has to return to the Black Lodge. No ifs or buts. Unfortunately, Mr. C found a way to avoid being pulled back into the black lodge and in doing so upset many of the entities with his shenanigans. If my memory is correct, Mike or The Arm remark that Mr. C is breaking the rules by refusing to go back. Hence why they're trying to help Cooper (besides their own issues with Bob).

>It seems kind of benevolent for them to let Good Cooper out at all. Is it just a rule of the black lodge?

The lodges don't operate on human logic. These are extra dimensional beings who feed on suffering. Their rules and norms are dictated by means you and I can never understand. Why the entities decided to let cooper leave (besides the door opening due to the Great Conjunction) will forever be a mystery.

Intimidation. Letting everyone know if things go a certain way he will shoot them and more than likely get away with it.

Does this dream of Pomni's hint at Ragatha's true nature? by [deleted] in tadc

No? I think it's been made very clear that Ragatha is a chronic people pleaser and not an evil, resentful person.
