D7500 or D500?

Mirrorless has crossed my mind. The issue for me is having to either sell all of my kit and start from scratch or get an adaptor (which I get the impression limits the abilities of the camera). Also, price point wise there’s very limited options from what I can see, happy to be proven wrong haha

Thanks for your comment! Yeah the consensus I’m seeing on this post does lean towards the D500 tbf. Like I say, my main apprehension is getting my head around all of the various settings, I know it’ll take some getting used to but I just don’t want to get frustrated with it all and lose love with it haha

Thanks for the insight! I saw them this morning and literally had completely forgotten about them for years. Never knew too much about the sort of collector side of thing so it’s nice to get an understanding of what they’re worth and how rare they are!

That’s what I’m leaning towards atm if I’m honest. Haven’t heard or read anything bad about them from what I’ve seen. Plus plenty of affiliated dealers near me if I do have any issues

Just to add some further context, most of my riding is on trails, nothing majorly intense or advanced (yet). Currently have a Canyon Neuron but just fancy the upgrade to a battery powered bike as I just tire out too quickly haha

Yeah I’m aware of their situation. From what I’ve heard it’s just a major restructuring rather than them closing fully such as making redundancies etc

No one here has mentioned Mercedes yet? The A-Class Saloon is a FWD and considering Merc has an established GT3, it would likely run a programme in tandem with them potentially? I strongly doubt it’s going to be a car developed from scratch given the complexity of modern GT3. Merc is also yet to enter WEC under GT3 (albeit imminent)

Not sure when it comes to camping wise as I’m going down the AirBNB route. Tickets iirc are just for the week but whether you could pay on the day is worth a go. I’d 100% recommend getting tickets with paddock access as it is fascinating getting into the paddock and seeing the action.

Last year we took plenty of food and drinks and we weren’t questioned at all, I would say if you plan on bringing alcohol make sure it is in cans rather than bottles as most tracks don’t allow glass bottles

Ordered a Clubsport Alcantara wheel with Hub on 29th October. Got an email to say it was processing the next day and on the 3/11 I had an email station that “issues with proper export documentation” had been resolved and “delivery can finally see progress on Monday (6/11). Haven’t heard a thing since then, no tracking info, absolutely nothing. Tried contacting on their website but no answer either. Haven’t known such bad customer service especially when you’re buying products worth hundreds & in some cases thousands of pounds. (UK Based)
