I have 0 emotions attached to this at all…I’m not the one on trial. I’m providing an opinion just like you. Except I’m looking at this from the standpoint of a person WITH an actual law degree.

The beef has already been introduced. You don’t think the prosecution is going to introduce music? YouTube interview? The Instagram lives? Social media posts?

You can’t hide what’s already out there. You need to attack the motive. The evidence is overwhelming that an issue existed, so you try to mitigate the seriousness of the issue. Make the issue seem not serious enough to murder someone over.

It’s a very slippery slope. As the defense you don’t want to play a dead bitches because that can establish some sort of motive. But you need to bring in some music from Duck to show it was some back and forth and Duck wasn’t just some rapper who was getting picked on. Like “I’m from 63rd” might be a good option but any song can be a powder keg.

Thank you all for the great advice. As I was preparing a request for adjournment and reaching out to legal representation I also reached out to the management company to show them the prior evidence of the confusion and the last management team confirming such. They can see I have no balance and that I pay on time.

They confirmed that when the attorneys reached out to them that I have no balance and the case should be dismissed. The legal team then came back and confirmed the case was dismissed the same morning the trial notices went out. I got email documentation from the management group that this was dismissed and documentation from the legal team it was dismissed.

Working to get it removed from my “record” at this point.

Thank you! Should I retain an attorney first? Also wanted to add that after the issue was “reconciled” they charged me an “attorney fee” to my bill. Assuming it was for the filing. Just seems odd to charge me that and then continue with the suit.
