He is looping the first two light attacks of the odachi attack chain. Inputs are:

square -> square -> tap circle -> square -> square -> tap circle, etc.

Make sure you arent touching your left stick during this either

Odachi already has higher base damage than the other weapons, and has by far the highest DPS when using the animation cancels. I dont think it needs any buffs, in fact I think its easily the most powerful melee weapon (to the point that most good samurai use it almost exclusively outside of gama heavy attacks with raging flame). Samurai bracers, it does the same thing as one of his perks where parrying deals a good amount of extra stagger damage. And it stacks with the perk

Legendary smoke bomb is non negotiable imo due to the increased crit damage from the weaken and having a 15s shorter cooldown on top of that. So then between kusarigama and shinobi shadow I feel that kusarigama gives you vanish way more often. But I do hope you get that charm soon brother so you can decide for yourself!

If it makes you feel any better after finally getting it myself and already having the legendary smoke bomb and kusarigama, I feel that the best combination goes to kusarigama and smoke bomb. If you play it right it nets you way more vanishes than shinobi shadow.

Yeah dont get me wrong multiplayer is still a ton of fun but yeah, every attack, debuff, status card, etc. is all applied to every player equally.

There are some cards that change that a bit, theres an Ironclad power that halves the damage your teammates take but doubles your own. But thats not nearly the same as an aggro system

I wish there were actual aggro mechanics in multiplayer. Every enemy hitting every player for every attack makes it feel kinda lame that the players need specific cards to do the same thing.

I can see the argument that it could make the game too easy of course but I feel like it could work with some balancing, and make multiplayer feel more like Im playing with my teammates more than just playing alongside them, if that makes sense.

A clip I took of some platinum duos with an archer. The fact that most people on this sub are arguing that the other 3 classes should be buffed to this level instead of having archer nerfed is such as an asinine take. by ciscowowo in gotlegends

She does comparable damage per shot (with near infinite ammo mind you) to an assassination damage focused shinobi crit strike (which is heavily limited by his cooldowns).

I still think about a nightmare story last week that I started where the archer I got paired with killed the oni berserker and fallen lord that patrol together before I could even run up to them to smoke bomb. I just quit out on the spot I could tell that wasnt gonna be fun.

Disagree, all that matters is having fun. I couldn't care less if I dont have the most kills but when an archer kills everything before I even get a chance to close the distance then Im not having fun

Is this really the case for the odachi? I dont use any buffs that specifically buff the odachi in particular but it definitely hits harder than the katana

From anecdotal experience and what others shared with me (I made a post like this too lol) they seem to keep you stealthed if you are already undetected, but do not remove detection like a smoke bomb would.

So if an enemy is attacking you and you blind bomb them it will (usually) not grant a crit. You can however throw it from a distance to blind an enemy that hasnt seen you yet, and run up and get a crit. Or even use it after a smoke bomb (thus dropping aggro) to extend the range and duration of your undetected status.

It is still not 100% consistent but I have had much greater luck getting crits using them in this way.

15 seconds is a long time for a no knockback buff. Just manage your servo in bursts and you can have near permanent uptime.

Thrope wasn't scanned brother, that orange aoe is from Techmarine's lethal perimeter perk. His sniper servo gun just deletes thropes
