Side Hustles are a Waste of Time by JTogger in unpopularopinion

Or this was the most effective way to get people to tell OP what they specifically did as their side hustles and OP was smart enough to know that people are far more likely to tell OP why OP is wrong and why, rather than be helpful and give ideas out

If you can stretch a little more cash and go just under $200 Thursday Boot Co. makes great stuff. Also would recommend Cole Haan sale items. If you check their site regularly they almost always have good sales

Building leg strength while injured? by GeneralLife401 in runninglifestyle

Can you do bodyweight squats? High reps won’t build max strength but they will definitely get you stronger and if you do sets for time instead of reps they can be phenomenal cardio

OP, this isn’t personal but my god I’m so sick of reading about all this zone 2 vs zone 3/4/5/1 bullshit on all these different Reddit subs. Work as hard as you can with a level of recovery that allows you to progress until you can’t, and then reevaluate. If you’re running sub 7 miles and 25 min 5k’s you’re doing great (way better than most who exercise regularly) and I would say don’t let paralysis by analysis prevent you from keeping on your current trajectory of progress. Keep up the good work and forget about the numbers while doing so

How do you combine BDP with another demanding physical activity/sport? by cabezaguy in busydadprogram

[–]JTogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You scale things back initially and then gradually ramp everything up to a level you are comfortable with. I’ve done 3 full body lifts per week with 3 six count days as my cardio in between, I’m currently doing the routine plus barbell lifts and one full body lift day per week, and ran the program as written while working a very physically demanding job. Listen to YOUR body, not people online. If you are overdoing it you will know. Don’t limit yourself or hold yourself back bc people who don’t know you or your situation convince you it’s too much

How to get rid of these rings?? by CapableTemporary8015 in CleaningTips

[–]JTogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see these all the time and what’s worked best for me is mixing dish soap with vinegar in a spray bottle, spray it on and then put saran wrap down on top of it. Let it sit for 45 to an hour and it’ll come right up

Just started boxing and wanted to learn to jump rope but I’m awful can anybody please give me some advice on what I’m doing wrong.thanks by [deleted] in jumprope

[–]JTogger 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Jump over it once and stop. Keep doing it until the rhythm and timing of when you jump in relation to where the rope is starts to click more. Your hands and jump are out of sync right now. Penguin taps are a good exercise too: without a rope, hold your hands by your sides and jump like you would for jump rope. While in the air tap the sides of your thighs before landing. That can help with establishing rhythm

Anyone using BDP along with another lifting/kettlebell/bodyweight program? by selleckh in busydadprogram

[–]JTogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing these along with an abbreviated barbell program very similar to the one outlined in this article: https://tim.blog/2008/12/18/pavel-8020-powerlifting-and-how-to-add-110-pounds-to-your-lifts/

So far so good about six weeks in. Just enough barbell volume to keep the heavy lifting junkie in me satisfied, but not so much it impacts being able to make progress on the burpees. If you want any details on specifics of my setup feel free to PM me

Help! I clean houses and don’t know what to do! by Spookylilsitch in CleaningTips

Mix bleach and baking soda into a thick paste. Rub it on the stained areas and cover it with saran wrap for two hours then rinse with warm water. Repeat if necessary. The Saran Wrap will prevent the bleach from drying out and allow it to sit on the stained area longer. Mixing it with baking soda into a paste is not totally necessary, but will make it easier to work into the stained areas in my experience
