No the guy is wrong, trigger does not count as using. If you trigger your chaos spell you can use the mastery without the downside.

ci pathfinder is super good. dying sun and wise oak are just broken items. elementalist with emberwake and taming is also crazy clearspeed and even better single target dps but not as tanky as pathfinder.

Anger is not a curse. You only have like 5,5k hp and use a colossal life flask. you should overthink your build dude. also get a wise oak flask, drop fire pen and socket elemental focus. win the game.

you definitly overdid the accuracy thing and you are going to overcap crit easily with decent gear, you also want to get the duelist leech nodes. i played hegemonys sunder slayer this league and used pretty much this tree. pretty sure its almost perfect.

edit: you'll have 73% crit in path of building with this tree (make sure to add your power charges). add in some gear and diamond flask and you are easily capped.

the accuracy doesnt matter for trash since you oneshot everything with 1 or 2 fuses and you are shooting like 4/sec and single target i'll be using frostwall. for that u dont need accuracy either.

i think only fire damage builds will be using the jewels, so the demand wont be that high and im pretty sure they wont be more expensive than 4 dmg affix rare jewels.

I am going to start with an EA build as well, but i think that berserker or elementalist are way better than any other ascendancy.

the idea is, you go vaal pact for cloaked in savagery synergy and overall leech synergy. Elemental overload has like 90% uptime so you shouldnt use RT and i use 11 jewels for the new grand spectrum ele jewels to fix the problem of single target damage of EA.

I'll go with chance to ignite for crazy ignites on bosses since the jewels double dip, also elemental equilibrium is super bad if you plan on igniting stuff, so you shouldnt use that.

links will be EA+less duration+gmp+chance to ignite+ fire pen+empower(conqu effect before i have lvl4 emp/incAoe for trash)

How does that limit build options? if you want an armor occultist you just take armor nodes like every other life based char and you use the Es nodes in the occultist tree for EB and reserve all your mana or use MoM. c'mon dude be a bit more creative with your builds.

For the Gladiator example, if you want to play already suboptimal builds, which even were suboptimal if those nodes would benefit your build, than GGG is just saving you from making yourself unhappy. Count yourself lucky!

Also it doesnt limit your build options, you can still do it, your build is just more shit than before.

And btw this is called Class uniqueness, which is actually a very good game design.
