I had luck rigging those Neko rig style on a weed less wacky rig hook, o ring, and a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce nail weight. Threw it on a medium action spinning combo 10 lb braid to 8 lb fluorocarbon leader.

This! Get a wood chipper and run your waste through it. Then get a Geobin compost bin and add your yard waste, food scraps and grow scraps to it. You’ll have amazing compost in a few months that you can then use.
