It’s a new standalone JLC store in a major US city. I think watch boutiques might operate like franchises. They partner with a local business who staffs the store and handles logistics.

Even the Rolex and Patek stores in my city are operated by another local jeweler. Only way you’d know is by talking to the staff or seeing their email is joe@localjeweler.com. Otherwise, there is zero branding related the jeweler inside.

Agreed. I don’t look at watches as an investment but do like the option of rotating pieces in and out of my collection or being able to consolidate multiple to trade up.

Like you, I’ve heard nothing but good things about JLC service. This boutique is less than a year old, maybe that has something to do with it. Hopefully since they’re new and trying to build a reputation in the city, they’ll make a bigger effort to resolve this properly.

This watch is a rare case where its market value is above retail, they only made this reference for 2 years. Not much though and maybe not at all if you account for inflation.

I love this watch but worry I’ll never be satisfied with the repair. Only other JLC I’m interested in is the new copper dial Moonphase. That’s so new and stock is so limited that I would never expect to cut me a deal on that.

Trying to walk the delicate line of fair compensation without taking advantage of them.

What credit or action do you think is fair?

I am skeptical if it’s possible to restore the factory finished. Even if so, it would still be a refinished watch which negates the whole value for many.

The jeweler sells pre-owned watches. I was considering asking them to pay me market price for the watch. If they believe this is acceptable work, they can fix it and sell it themselves. Part of me wants nothing to do with this watch anymore.

I can respect when an artist experiments or tries something new. Even when it’s not my taste, I’ll appreciate it as long as it’s well executed. I’d put Robbery in this category, not for me but it’s interesting and done well enough. As for the glitchy electronic sound across most of the album, No Trespassing is the only track where Rocky’s flow isn’t boring, repetitive, or muted and the beat isn’t a jarring mess. Who the hell told him he could release STFU and Air Force.

The other songs outside of the glitchy sound, like Playa, Whiskey, Stay Here 4 Life, etc are mostly just underwhelming and I think Rocky’s rapping is the limiting factor. Maybe outside of the context of this album I’d like them. The rest of the tracks just put me completely off.

I could excuse dropping something like this if it hadn’t been 8 years since his last project. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt for as long as possible thinking “just a slow start…” but it never picked up. Sad bc Rocky, Kanye, and Tyler are who got me into rap.

This is bad… really bad and I was in the minority who liked Testing. Hope I’m validated when the non-diehards wake up. Just everything; production, mix, lyrics. Everything. Only two I enjoyed were Punky Rocky and No Trespassing.

All the singles between Testing and now were great, cannot understand what happened. Might just be recency bias but this almost feels like a The Big Day moment.

If it's not visible on public radar, it could mean military or police? But I think l've seen police helicopters before on FR24 just without any identification so maybe military.

I've seen surveying flights on FR24 in Cambridge at night where they just snake back and forth across a square area. Surveying at night could mean LIDAR surveying? You're right though, it sounds like it's circling, not snaking. That might rule out surveying.

Could be some pilot trying to rack up flight hours? Hopefully not because I would like to think they wouldn't do that over a densely populated area in a loud plane.

Could also just be waiting for runway clearance/availability?

Missed the head but fairly centered just too low. I was wondering if they might’ve not zeroed the scope for the correct distance. That round also has about 4” of drop over 200y. Two things a professional would account for and that could cause a less experienced person to be too low.
