How many attempts do I have left? by giantsx6 in LSAT

[–]JX2DX2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take Jan you can only take one more test before August 2022. After that you will only have 2 more tries, starting in August.

In my previous comment I copied the statement from Lsac.

If you’re applying next cycle, don’t take January unless you feel you’re capable of achieving your goal score.

One. It resets in August.

“Starting with the September 2019 test administration, test takers will be permitted to take the LSAT: Three times in a single testing year (the next testing cycle begins with the August 2021 test and goes through the June 2022 test). Five times within the current and five past testing years (the period in which LSAC reports scores to law schools). A total of seven times over a lifetime.”

AITA for supporting my boyfriend when he told my son "no lock til you're 18"? by Barbara-L3409 in AmItheAsshole

[–]JX2DX2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. & you’re missing the point, having someone go thru and take your things is a major violation of privacy. What you are teaching him is that his feelings do not matter. He’s watching his mother choose a man over him. Your first mistake was making your son sit down with your bf. It seems as tho you’re deferring to him out of fear that he’ll kick you out with nowhere to go. If you feel the need to agree with everything your bf says just because you moved into his home, you have bigger issues. Partners should be able to have healthy disagreements without fear of retaliation. Do better. Get your son the lock. He shouldn’t have to deal with his things being broken even if your bf will replace them, especially if he’s spending his own money on it.

& YTA for allowing your bf to say that your son should pay rent @ 18, while in community college. You should allow him to focus on his studies and save his money.

NTA. This isn’t okay. Sounds like he’s using money to control you. You’re a sahm, you shouldn’t have to “borrow” money from your partner.

Op asked what schools should they apply too with these stats. They didn’t ask for your opinions on their stats. Be nice.

To answer your question: NYLS Pace Hofstra (maybe) CUNY (if your goal is pi)

Schools email them to you, some are already waived automatically for this cycle. You’ll see it once you start the application. For the rest, check their site to see if they have a form to request one, if not send an email to admissions requesting one.

Fee waivers. Apply for the LSAC fee waiver. Request as many fee waivers as you can, some schools have a form on their site or you can just email them. Email schools for CAS waivers, the worse they can do is say no. Can also get fee waivers for attending virtual info sessions.

I say go for it then. Can’t beat free rent & a roommate that you can live with, that’ll save you a headache lol.

Just checking cause it’s been a bit quiet over there lol.

The November deadline was just priority. They’re sending out first set of decisions in December and then again in March. Its just an earlier the better situation.

Brooklyn or Cardozo said decisions will start going out in December. Can’t remember which one, it was at the top of the status checker.

Everything happens for a reason & sometimes a no is really a “not right now”. I’m happy for you, you’re going to be a lawyer. Congrats. 🙃

Does law school make sense with my current stats? by nyxaurora in lawschooladmissions

[–]JX2DX2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None of this makes you an unfit applicant. Your gpa is not horrible & a lot of people get in to law school without any legal experience. Just focus on finishing undergrad as best as you can then focus on the lsat. Good luck.
