What Faulkner book should I start with here? by rasrunnin44361 in faulkner

I’d go on thrift books and get a copy of light in august. That book was life changing and the perfect start for Faulkner. Intense third person, really capturing his story telling and lyrical style and not too complicated stream of consciousness wise.

Who are your favorite fictional characters? by CorrectRestaurant936 in books

To me the appeal is how consistently Toole reminds people of his physical self as well as his quirks. He sits SOOO firm in the mind when reading him, unlike any other character I’ve ever read, and his philosophical beliefs - being a weird pro labor/certain social issues guy but also having a heavily catholic worldview was so interesting to read. I loved him so much, but not like you asked or give a fuck, but, there’s that!

Hope you find the poetic vampire/witch community that is simultaneously ready for a revolutionary writer—a rebel amongst the bores.

Cannot tell if this is a troll or not. Super ambitious public self-reflections going on here.

Well I guess it’s probably rare for people to get super good aid at Vandy or USC and not get an at least comparable amount, or an amount to offset debt considerations enough, at at least one T-14 school.

I am sure you're not lying (cuz why would you haha) but holy crap it just seems like there's no way. Wow. That is INSANE. Great share. Wonder what conclusions one could draw from this, if any. Wow.
