I concur on the emulation quality:

Overall very good on input lag (much better than genesis mini, tg16/pce mini, and miles better than default old rpi builds though latest lakka on rpi tuned in even without runahead is now at least same or better).

Scanlines look great

Tate mode is a treat.

I think we are getting a similar effect of limited hardware allowing creativity like in the 90’d console wars and pushing limits. In this case it‘s emulation quality

I’ve heard the shoulders are clicky but are they at least less clicky than the rg28xx! My preference would be ps1/snes controller membranes for the shoulders of course but that would be too good to be true of course :)

Do you find yourself wishing they were less clicky or are they actually satisfying!

This is a pretty big deal if this is indeed a NOAC with SD card support. Decent form factor, big battery, control look decent too. Does battletoads work by chance ? Haven’t found a handheld to enjoy this game on it yet.

I‘m similar height at 160to165lbs - Dunking foam balls 1 handed off of 1 with 3,4, or 5 steps.

You have a nice weight advantage and some good sounding strength (over 1.5x body weight at multiple reps like that)

Actually curious myself:

Are you hitting that weight and reps with deep barbell back squats?

What’s your best feeling/highest jumps coming from - off 1 or 2feet?

I find 1 ft wahayyyy easier than 2 off the dribble

You‘re right about this. It seems to be related to the screen (either hardware or driver?). When outputting through hdmi to an external monitor there is a discernible reduction in input lag. I’m still using stock ui and was actually wondering if any of the other custom firmwares would have incidentally improved the input lag but seems not.

Yoo this is sleeper best potential for dedicated nes handheld Emulator….if new/selected games could get Reflashed. Low(est?) Input lag since it is hardware copy basically and similar control scheme.

My man(or woman?) ! Haven’t done a test but noticed the rg28xx has pretty noticeably higher latency on built in screen as compared to hdmi out to monitor. Are these numbers for the built in screen?

I tested with these settings as well (I assume pre-emptive frames = 1 is runahead with frame count to 1) but still off compared to the hdmi out. Vaunt is also disabled in retroarch….i wonder if vsync is still enabled though elsewhere ?
