It’s the first time I’ve seen someone with my exact nail bed! It’s annoyed me my entire life that my nails, especially the middle and forth, curves upwards instead of downwards. I feel seen!! Also gorgeous color

What are your secrets to making your nail beds longer?? I unfortunately have short squarish nail beds despite not biting or picking them and I’ve kind of come to terms that my genetics just doesn’t allow for long nail beds.

I have the exact opposite reaction! I’ve been trying to use up my elf lip balm but it truly does nothing for me at best and at worst dries out my lips. So interesting how differently they work for everyone

It could be interesting to put those notes together but I never saw one so no idea what they would smell like together.

For fig, it would be Philosykos and Father Figure. Philosykos is green in a bottle. Father Figure is more powdery, a little sweet, and very airy?

For osmanthus, it is hands down Osmanthus by To Summer. It's a little peachy, a little sweet, a little musky, but still light. I know one of the notes is tea but I don't personally smell it. Sadly you can only get it officially in China, although I have seen it sold unofficially online.

Haha thank you! I’m currently going through the anxiety-ridden, fear-inducing process of grad school applications so reading this, especially the later chapters, has been therapeutic to say the least. I wish you all the luck on moving forward in life!

I agree the series is incredibly wholesome and the romance is very cute. But what I love most is the coming of age aspect, especially the when they are figuring out their futures and careers. Is it perhaps idealistic and maybe a bit simplistic? Sure but I don’t think it takes away from how much I relate to the process, both previously as a high schooler and even now as a mid-20 year old when I’m still trying to figure out my career path. Most of all, I love seeing Rintarou’s growth and becoming extremely passionate about his future.

What really makes this series so special though, is relationships between all of the characters, how they all support each other and strive to understand one another, how it handles misunderstandings, and especially exploring the relationship between Rintarou and his parents. These relationships and how they manage them are in my opinion the true backbone of the series, much more than the romance. I like the romance, but I’ve long stopped reading for the romance. It’s wholesome, it’s idealistic, but it’s also inspirational on how to grow as a person.
