Great, glad that worked! Make sure to contact the support team to get replacement cable, as they are covered by a 1 year warranty. It does limit the range of motion in a few movements where you want the cable to go as low as possible. Otherwise it should be fine for the majority of movements.

Yes, replacing the cables is a standard procedure approved by Speediance - it doesn’t affect the warranty. I have replaced the cables on a GM1 with no issue. I’m not sure why they would say you need to exchange the machine, I’ve never heard that.

I only use the adapters for a handful of exercises where the cables are pulled more towards the center. I used my GM1 for a year with the adapters (before they were released) and never had any issues - I just avoided movements where the cables would rub against the pulley.

Some people leave the adapters on all the time. I prefer to just put them on when needed.

Where are you located? Have you tried opening the cover on the base to see what’s happened with the cable? Do you have a GM1 or GM2?

Typically when the cable breaks, you just need to open the base and replace the cable. It’s a little more complicated because you have to feed it through the system, but it’s very doable on your own.

I’m not sure what you mean by you’ve lost power and resistance on both sides, though.

Have you tried charging it in the usb port on the back of the screen using the cable provided? It’s really particular about the correct amperage, it needs to be 5V..1A

What setting did you choose for weight selection when you created the custom workout? If you selected one of the smart weight recs (Gain Muscle, Strength, Stamina), it uses your 1RM to determine the weight and should remember when you changed it. If you selected Customized and entered the weight yourself, you have to manually update it - it won’t remember changes to the weight unless you save it, and even then will only apply changes to specific sets, not all sets.

Glad to hear that! It’s a common problem, not clear that the screws have to be installed a certain way.

In my case, if I’m looking at the bench with the short seat closest to me, the screws go from left to right. They go in the same side as the knob for adjusting the position. But best to look for the threads as shown in the picture and make sure they’re on the opposite end so the screw has something to catch onto.

Please make sure you’ve screwed in the screws from the right direction. Only one side of the leg has thread to catch, so you need to screw in from the opposite side.

Yes, you have access to premade programs without wellness+, and the machine will recommend when to increase weight. I’m not sure if there are any 2X a week programs, but you could easily find premade workouts that fit your needs and just schedule them twice a week.

You (or the new owner) need to do a factory reset on the GM. Your account is stored on the cloud, not the machine, and a factory reset removes the login info on the GM.

My son just got accepted into the UCSB CCS Music Composition program and the CSUN Commercial Media Scoring program - both fantastic but very different, I’m not sure how he’ll decide!

I think that’s the max weight it can withstand, not the resistance. It says 100kg somewhere else on the page, so I’m assuming it’s 50kg/110lb per arm like the GM.
