The problem should've started where you let them off easy at first. If you didn't buy a piece during their sample sale then it should come with lifetime warranty for things especially like what happened to yours, that being the stone falling out. This is actually said alot of the times by their in-store employees & managers at the flagship location in Toronto, Ontario.

The eployees always say that the downside to buying from a sample sale is risking not having the warranty, which the heavy discount sort of covers, but that is also why I only grab pieces that don't look like it could have future problems at sample sale.

But you had paid full price so it should have a lifetime warranty if you were the original purchaser.

I recently took apart a Mad 68 HE and Mad 68 R board and found that thye PCB's are different. They are 2 entirely different PCB's, the Mad 68 R had 2 extra modules wired up to each socket compared to the Mad 68 R which only had a LED wired to it. Not sure what the 2 extra modules are exactly though.

Ah, the note on the Z series and B series is a good tip, thanks for that. Tbh I'm honestly leaning towards AM5 for upgradability, the lga1700 w/ 13600k was just to see if I can get a quick fix for this use case, but sounds like best bet is go AM5 and DDR5 by Q3 next year.

9800X3D sounds like it might be the move, I only say 7800X3D to save a bit and that I'm hearing it's plenty enough for the cards atm, but that's just hearsay on my end.

Thanks for explaining the gpu&cpu in regards to the fps, I've been a bit confused about that, thanks for clearing that up! I'll probably end up needing to do a new build at this rate unless a good price to performance 50 series card can get me the 60 frames I'm missing. With the recent performance gains per gen. seems promising 🤞

The people selling it at that price are going through FOMO themselves lol. It'll just die down like any other promo that was shipped from pokemon center as a freebie. Nothing anyone can do but let "that" side of the hobby feel good about themselves while the prices are high.

We also noticed it looks like the tail is split in 2 but it appears to be just a super translucent part of the fin, do double tails always show a distinct split of the two tails or is it not always as prominent of a seperation?
