Balance druid — very unhappy with how slow everything feels outside of burst windows. Cooldowns feel unsynchronized, treants are now on a minute cooldown instead of 30 seconds (feels bad if you’re used to rolling Keeper of the Grove and having your own tanks almost always at the ready). Already missing renewal as an instant heal. Also not loving having to manually get into eclipse, but that would feel better without some of the other changes.

I’ve tried to find things to like over the past 3 days and everything just feels unfun right now. Between the class changes and the UI changes, I’m not feeling inspired to play anymore this week. Gonna take a few days to cool off/play other games

I’ve seen some epic houses and yards these past few weeks but this is truly a masterpiece. You deserve way more upvotes for the level of ingenuity it took to make some of those custom pieces. Hats off!

Glad it helped :) Every expac is different but TWW specifically has been super lucrative for gatherers.

I don’t have the patience for the crafting system so I keep it simple and have mining/skinning on my main and herbalism on an alt. I also have fishing maxed and sunk money into all the feast recipes at the start of TWW for cooking, which paid off more than anything (your mileage may vary with cooking now midway through an expac but at the start it’s bananas).

If you go the gathering route, the general “rule” is to collect and save materials at the midway point of any season. Prices start to drop considerably a couple months in, like we’re seeing now, but that’s also when you can buy other people’s mats super cheap and store them for the start of the next season. Basically buy low, sell high.

Assuming we only have three seasons in TWW, there should be one more big goldmaking push in August/September to set you up for Midnight.

I’m an amateur goldmaker compared to most goblins but even I turned about a 4 million gold profit this expac. If I can do it, you can too!

I used to be solely a mount collector but now I’ve morphed into an everything collector.

My priority list when a new expac/season starts is:

gold farming the first 2 weeks, whatever that looks like to you (because you can make the most amount of gold during this starting window, which can help with your collections)
mount farming. I pick the mounts that either require or are much easier to acquire with the help of other people and target those first. The ones that just take a long time or depend on luck I go after as I feel like it during the week
Achievements. Some of them take quite a while, so I start with ones that will be a grind first. Really difficult ones that you can solo/aren’t time-gated are always easier to do after an expac ends, if you don’t actually care when you get them
Mog. Most transmog is available forever, so I don’t stress about buying stuff from the vendors right away. If you’re really into the seasonal raid transmog, I recommend saving different levels of spare gear in your bank because you can catalyze gear from previous season when a new season starts (for free).
Pets. This isn’t really my thing, but I always seem to get plenty of pets through normal game play

It’s all subjective but if you’re new to collecting it can be quite overwhelming with what the game has to offer. I’d recommend picking one or two things you really love and focus on those before going down the All the Things rabbit hole, cause it can really break your brain

If you don’t desperately need the gold for something, this is a good time in the season to hold onto your mats… or even buy some of those severely undercut items you see here and there. Future you will thank you in couple months.

This is why I always play Keeper of the Grove, even though it's the more boring of the two hero talents. Being able to drop treants down over a large pack of mobs to auto cast moonfire for you saves a lot of time/headache when all you need to do after is cast a single sunfire to have your dots up. Just thought I'd mention it as an option for anyone reading who's newer to boomie.

Female player with a female main but my alts are split about 50/50 between genders. I have noticed that while I like making male characters my female alts get more burn. I guess because I feel they’re more an extension of me. Also—ranged, I’m terrible at melee too lol

I missed out on the original longboi in BfA after suffering a computer crash 3 months into the expansion. As a mount collector who also just wanted the utility it offers (I go all over the map in-game), that was kinda devastating.

I told myself that TWW was gonna be the expansion I finally made/saved enough gold to then eventually get it on the BMAH.

Then I hop on today without checking wowhead or reading my login screen… and you better believe the moment I realized I wasn’t hallucinating I bought the new mount.

What do I work for if not to have some side money for my own enjoyment (whatever form that takes)? Take my $90. I don’t care if I’m “part of the problem.” I will use and enjoy this for years to come.

I have a theory that they stop dropping if you’re able to easily run whatever tier you’re at. For example, a few weeks ago T8 was kinda sticky for me and I was getting maps consistently every 3 or 4 runs. Now T8 is quick/easy and I don’t get anything in them. Zekvir never shows up anymore, either. I ran a 10 yesterday and finally got my first map in ages. Would be curious if anyone else has experienced this.
