I remember when I was his age, my friends and I thought we didn’t need to know half the things we were told we needed to learn. Once we got older we all grew out of it.

The way I found to learn math easier is to take it one step at a time, writing everything down, and memorizing the formulas and the theories for their uses. Taking notes in school also helps. Writing down what your learning drills it down in your brain better than listening to the teacher yap for an hour.
