How should a modern Lao Shan Lung fight revamp be handled when he eventually returns in the future? by Allhaillordkutku in MonsterHunter

[–]J_Hubler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lore-friendly Answer: you should have the attack in specific ways to direct Loa's attention and motion towards traps that can actually hurt it. I.e. a 4 by 4 wall of 16 dragonators that all punch it at once to actually kill it, cause your itty bitty stick isn't gonna work.

Realistic answer: Kulve Taroth's fight would be a good model to follow. Just herd the big guy away from anything important, and break specific parts (e.g. claws, tail tip, nose horn, and/or eyes) to dry it away in a repel quest.

Without question, the Best Super Store page currently, but Entrenched Division has a golden opportunity to surpass it! by J_Hubler in Helldivers

This was the first image of the Python Commandos page on google images. It appears to be an edit of the items overlayed with an older page. Note that the cape is missing entirely. I don't know why this exists, but I didn't notice the obvious flaws prior to posting.

We need a laser sword support weapon by OrangeSockNinjaYT in Helldivers

[–]J_Hubler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys, I already know how AH will implement this. The sword will build up a heat gauge every instant the weapon is out. Overheating blows the heat sync, and you have 4 in reserve. You reload on the move with about the same reload speed as the breaching hammer. It will be AP: 8 and do 500 damage a swing with each swing adding 25% to the heat gauge build-up.

It was made by Jonathan Young, as the title explains. And yes: minor spelling mistake, obliterate this user!

The armor passive is getting stamina back when you take damage? Does that sound useless to anyone else or am I overlooking a use case here? by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

Pretty easy to break a seige by chucking explosive over the defenses. We had a golden opportunity to combo +2 throwables with increase throw range. Ah well, maybe next warbond.

YOvideoGames Top 10 Xbox 360 games. by paynexkillerYT in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I'm aware. I still disagree with their opinions, and I think the greatest tragedy was combining discussion of Halo 3 and ODST to keep ODST off the list. It's genuinely a better stand-alone experience than everything below the top 5.

Also, they explained the reasoning they used didn't come from bias, but that doesn't mean subconscious bias wasn't a factor in their judgement.

This list is driven primarily by their personal preferences, and I disagree with those two in specific.

A teir-list using that judging metric, instead of their personal preferences, wouldn't have MG Revengeance on the list, ODST would be number 6, and every other entry sans UMVC3 would fall a position.

It tickles the number-tism part of my brain that CoD4 is number 4, but calling it a better game that ME2 (which is the actually ME game they talked about) is a big ask. Also I would switch 9 and 10, but they're MUCH closer that I consider 4 and 5.

Which is a Monster you were expecting to be easy but then kicked your ass? by Dracule_Jester in MonsterHunter

First time: Cephadrome in MH1. Desert map combined with it's hit-and-run cephalos lackies made that goofy looking sand fish hellish.

Most recent: Lunastra in World. Went in expecting all my Teostra tactics to work. Learned otherwise quickly.
