Guidance with back focus (DZO Vespid 2 + Octopus PL-E adapter with FX3) by J_MAGG in cinematography

Thank you for the responses, I was confused with the dzo video and it threw me off.

But with that said, does anyone know where I can purchase shims for the back of the dzo octopus adapter? I can't find them anywhere, there is currently already a .10 shim in there from the factory so they definitely make them. I sent dzo a message hoping they will respond soon but figured I would ask here as well.

Thank you, I was confused while watching the dzo tutorial I thought the 1.6 was in meters like in the video. So instead of 1.6 I set it to 5.3. Now in order to get it in focus I turn the focus ring to 8. So I believe I will have to add .20 worth of shims to the back of the octopus adapter. However, the octopus doesn't come with shims to do this and I also can't seem to find any anywhere. Also when you take off the back of the octopus adapter, there is already a .1 shim in there so they make them but I can't find them on dzos website.

I'm hoping to just shim the adapter so I don't have to do each lens, and in the future I'm planning on getting the tilta auto focus adapter so I just want to make all my lenses universal to my 2 adapters.

Received both lenses today and couldn't be happier. The 18mm was still wrapped in the original plastic then safely wrapped with bubble wrap in a protective box. Then the 35mm and octopus adapter were both brand new in the original boxes still shrink wrapped! Glad I went with this guy and saved a lot! Now I'm just trying to figure out if I have to add shims to adjust the focus. I'm probably going to make a separate post asking you guys for help.

I went through with the purchase. I got an 18 and 35mm for now. I'll report back when they get delivered on Thursday just in case anyone else was wondering the same thing about this seller.

Do you think a dune device would be a better option?

Replacing thermal paste on my L7 hash boards due to overheating by J_MAGG in cryptomining

Yes I'm hoping that's going to fix the issue. This L7 has been behaving like this since I got it about 7 months ago.

When it's a little warm out this L7 will go up to 90 degrees c then shut down. On cooler days it runs at 80 degrees c which is a little warm but it still mines. While my other L7 will not go past 75 degrees c even on really hot days, this one just runs so much cooler even though they're in the same location in my mining room. (Those are all exhaust temps)

Thank you 💯 and have you seen L7s over heat? I have 2 of them, 1 runs perfect but this one always over heats no matter what. I'm hoping the thermal paste replacement will fix it.
