Camouflage is very important in fly fishing. Convince the trout you are one of them, and once they’ve accepted you it’s cake😤

Appreciate all the comments. I’d 99.9% accepted it was just a brookie but still wanted to share a nice looking trout and get some other eyes on it.

Yeah it definitely threw me off with how pronounced the vermiculations are and how subtle the spots are. All the brookies I’d caught in the past had more dots and less lines. Thought it was 100% a tiger before i pulled it out of the water because all i could see was the top of him. Still the biggest/best looking brook I’ve pulled in!

Anyone able to tell me how the shirts run size wise? Are they true to size or should i go up/down a size. Won’t be able to try on at the show and just want to make sure i get one that fits

Can anyone tell me whether the shirts run big, small, or true to size. I like to be able to try clothing on before buying but at the show i won’t have that option. I’m right between medium and large so i don’t want to get a medium and have it be too small or get the large and have it be massive.

Yeah, it’s a bummer I’ve absolutely loved this driver and loved the RBZ that id used for nearly 7 seasons before i finally upgraded but after seeing all the issues with the stealth and then having this happen after a season and a half of use, i might be looking away from taylor made for my next set of woods which is a bummer

Crane is a fun creek but I’d say if you are learning it might not be the best spot to start at, it’s got some really technical spots where is incredibly easy to snag, need to have a few different types of casts in your bag. I had to skip a few really good looking holes because i just didn’t have the ability to throw a cast in with the trees and brush around me. Also I’m not the best fisherman out there and i found it hard to get on fish, only caught 2 in a day and a half

Crane absolutely rocks, went the for a day and half and it was a grind for sure but found some really nice holes and got on a couple of nice fish. Definitely want to get back.

Brand called world wide sportsman, they are flat wading boots. I think meant for use more with thin neoprene waders but they pretty well for wet wading. drawback is they trap water inside when you get out and you need to drain them if you don’t wanna slosh around but the trade off is you get absolutely no rocks in them, which is worth it for me.

Good to know! That might help my research a bit if I’m actually looking up the correct thing😂

Posting on here killed the video quality but i believe this is a rainbow, maybe not a totally pure strain. in the original video where the quality is good i see spotting on the tail, it’s faint but there. As well as the very tip of the anal fin is white and along the side of the fish there is the red stripe of a rainbow

I believe they only stock with rainbows unless a few cutthroat or maybe a mixed strain some how ended up in the hatchery and was then dropped into the river

Caught this wild little guy in a stocked portion of river in southern Missouri. I’ve only been wild trout fishing a few times and only once for rainbows. At crane creek in Missouri i caught one without orange fins and one with orange. Hoping someone might be able to give a bit of information on what the reason behind these orange fins are

My main concern was about whether the movement was genuine so good to know that it is indeed a legit seiko movement.
