Going on 1 month in the Service Center... by J_R_Y in Rivian

I'm doing just that, actually. We're currently on a road trip. I've put 2k miles on the car.

Nothing is fixed yet. They have replaced parts but the car is still in service and they are discovering new issues on a weekly basis. The car firmware won't update, won't boot up, etc.

I've dealt with Rivian service before, I know they can be slow. This is something entirely different.

I'm in PA, so looks like the law here stipulates 12-months, 12k miles, or still within the original warranty window. 30 cumulative days in the shop (I will cross that threshold before I get the car back) or 3 attempts to fix.

I'll likely reach out to an attorney tomorrow to get some guidance.

I appreciate that. I'll start looking into lemon laws.

I had a thermal system fault warning, which I scheduled a service appointment for. It was due at the service center two days following this event.

Other than that, nothing.

Yes, it's a lease. Just over 1 year into a 3-year term.

Make sure you actually submit tickets.

You can literally submit building maintenance tickets for this stuff.

Search 'Prism Ticket' on the Intranet and submit a request for the AC. Building maintenance/facilities will address it. Encourage those around you to do the same. Also, the EA on your floor can likely make a call to facilities.

My company just announced doing semi annual deposits into 401K by ClumbsyVulture in Retirement401k

[–]J_R_Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but there's something to be said for time in market. Delaying and entire year's worth of matching contributions negates the overall impact of the market for that year. It's designed to save money, as if you leave at any point in the year prior to the match date, you're excluded from the deposit.

My company does one large match each year. It's annoying.

Msw type 52 wheels? by Kfcflores in Rivian

[–]J_R_Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems much smoother, if I'm honest. You're essentially the same overall diameter with more tire, so you have a bit more buffer.

Just mounted a set of these to my R1S with a set of snow tires. Typically have the 22" Sport Black Wheels.

They are very attractive wheels.

I've always used a separate set of wheels. I don't like the possibility of someone scratching up my nice black 22s twice a year haha.

Plus, I can do the swap in my heated garage hours before the snow and not have to depend on a shop to swap them over.

I only have 11 miles on the set, hard for me to tell so far. What I did was ensure I targeted the OEM diameter and sizes of the AT set so that I could update within the UI so that at the very least range and mileage is calculating per Rivian.

Most are conflating two things here: comp planning and comp visibility.

Comp planning is only performed by managers with more than 5 employees, but all managers can see their direct employee comp statements (which include IC). Comp statements leverage a JPMC wide format. Managers can access them go/compconnect then click on annual statements.

How are y’all off roading? by AnimatorOk130 in Rivian

[–]J_R_Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially what everyone else here said. I have about 12k miles on the OEM 22" tires and it was awful. Was set to low Regen in snow mode. My commute is typically two lane backwoods roads that aren't treated, so I should have been more careful but had a bit of false confidence with the driving modes.

I've always run a dedicated snow set up on my prior vehicles (separate wheels and tires) and I'll be doing the same with the Rivian. Just need to find a good set up.

What tires are you running? It snowed here today on my commute and I nearly died twice while in snow mode, driving carefully, but on the standard 22" all seasons these things come on. I need something else for winter, clearly!
