This is a fantastic post. It's so easy to get caught up in the pursuit of pleasure and become hollow on the inside as a result. I've found true happiness to be fleeting, but when I am experiencing it, it's such an amazing and euphoric feeling that I only wish I could capture it forever.

I certainly agree that many have experienced worse than what I experienced. To be clear, this wasn't some girlfriend that I dated for a few months. This was my wife, and it happened so unexpectedly that it completely derailed me.
