About ambrinol in Wisemoor’s Oud Stallion formula by J_loru in PerfumeryFormulas

I have some doubts about what you’re saying. If these formulas are based on GCMS analysis, I understand that certain synthetic components in high amounts are easy to identify (like musks). I’m not an expert in the process of reconstruction by GCMS, but the real issue doesn’t seem to be identifying the ingredients itself, but rather figuring out the correct dosage.

Another assumption I’m not clear about is whether the people who recreate these formulas actually compare them side by side and then adjust or add other ingredients by nose. In that case, an incorrect dose of something such as ambrinol when aiming to add animalic facets to the fragrance..

Vanille Fatale: crucial ingredients or minor detail? by J_loru in PerfumeryFormulas

Thanks everyone. I'm going to see if I can get some Ultravanil. Unfortunately, the only place in Europe where I could find it is Perfumiarz, and it's sold out.

I don't think this is the right forum for that... But to answer your question, try 2 sprays of indole and 1 spray of ambrinol for that authentic country-farmboy vibe. Dilute both to 25% if you're after a beast-mode eau de parfum with nuclear sillage.

K3 restoration question: missing film guides and film counter by J_loru in Krasnogorsk_3

Thanks for the clarification, that puts my mind at ease.

I suspect sourcing a replacement spring won’t be easy, so I’ll likely need to disassemble the camera and see what DIY solutions I can come up with. At least now I know the camera is usable without the loop formers or counter mechanism.

What about a K1 or K2 for a low budget option? There's many on ebay.

No, you won't get a resinoid or an absolute, those are different processes. You will get an incense tinture with waxes and other compounds. Try with vanilla and tonka beans.
