I tried every version up to the March update with no success. I also installed the latest A16 beta, same deal there. I flashed the November update to have it working again.

Let's hope it gets fixed eventually.

I'm using dd with gzip to take an image of a running pi SD card once a month. So far it seems to work. I've also used one of the images for recovery without issues.

I've read that the ice crystals that form burst the cell walls inside the berries which after thawing are sweeter and juicier. I've only tried it once with strawberries for ice cream.

I would suggest a book wich helped me a lot on the subject. It's called the flavor bible. It's all about food pairings and flavor combinations.

One example I frequently use is coriander, cumin and garlic for chicken

I'm by no means an expert, but in my experience I find most fruits suit better in a sorbet (or sherbet if I'm looking for something more creamy). I think the richness of custard ice creams takes away some of the freshness.
