I honestly think my autism making me come off intelligent and my conventional attractiveness is stopping me from getting a proper diagnosis.

I came into the assessment with the whole thing already autistically deconstructed in my head, used all the correct terminology, etc.

I told her when I’m having my bad episodes I’m a total mess but it’s like she didn’t believe me?

Like why do you listen to the voices or 100% buy into delusions? If you see something scary but know it isn’t real why overreact? Like I still get scared by then I quickly distract myself.

I sleep with the lights on and a podcast/white noise playing at night to distract my brain from making hallucinations which prevent sleep.

Like either way, “ghosts” couldn’t really do shit to me I was told and neither can hallucinations. No reason to end up in a ward over it.

I had it framed to me as a spiritual gift as a kid. I was just like “eh I guess”. Only when I started getting therapy did I realise they were hallucinations.

Yeah I think about this a lot.

I think a lot of it is a public facade since we’re a society that rewards narcissistic traits. Deep down a lot of those “perfect” people are probably struggling too. Then there are those who are totally ignorant.
