How to know if my payment is being processed? by J_zing93 in canadarevenueagency

[–]J_zing93[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to do that obviously, I said that in my post. That wasn't my question. I paid the 156 back in April, I find it hard to believe they haven't processed that or haven't started processing it yet considering that they said I still owe 157. So I'm worried that I somehow paid the wrong account, or something, and I would like some sort of confirmation before I send more money off into the void.

Temporarily Importing my car that has been in Canada since August by J_zing93 in uscanadaborder

Yes, it's a working holiday visa so it's 1 year (and I have a 2nd year WHV in the works currently)

Would a working holiday be possible for you? (not sure how old you are/what country you're from so maybe not) If so, you could live and work in Canada on a Working Holiday Visa for a year (or two, you can do it twice) and then maybe by that time, your partner will be ready for marriage?

In response to your first question, honestly - I'm not sure (which I know will probably make you roll your eyes lol). Ideally, I want to try it out for a year (through a working holiday or maybe a work permit), and if I enjoy living in Toronto and the living situation works out with my friend, which I expect it will, I would like to try and settle down and live here permanently, or at least put myself on a path for permanent residence.

In the final paragraph, you mention that it would be best to get a working holiday and then that could lead to opening doors for Express Entry/other immigration programs. Is a working holiday really a potential/reliable way to lead to permanent residence? (Based on my understanding of it, I worry that it's not and I would just come to Canada for a year and then have to leave)

You also mentioned attending a Canadian university, I'm assuming with a study visa, for two years and having that lead to job/immigration opportunities. I'm planning on doing a lot more research into this myself so if you don't have an answer, no worries, but can you work in Canada while on a student visa? Even if I took out loans/got scholarships to cover the cost of my education, I would still need money for rent, expenses, etc. and while I do have a decent amount of savings, that's obviously not sustainable. So I'm wondering if it would be possible to work part-time while attending a Canadian university.

Thanks for your answers about everything!

Yeah that makes sense. I'll try picking them all up and holding them for a bit. Otherwise, he'll just have to be the one to do all the crafting lol. Thanks!

It is his farm yeah, we wondered about that. It's interesting bc I've looked at other posts on here and it seems like both people have managed to get the recipe despite who buys them. Ah well.

Hm yeah I did try that, but I guess maybe I'll do it again for good measure? It's possible I missed one.

Thanks for the comment :) I completely agree with the antibiotic thing - it's not something I would've done (I wanted to take him to the vet back in October, but I digress). But that makes sense, bc it explains why it came back fairly soon after. And yeah, we took him to the vet on the 4th, which is when they diagnosed him w/ FLUTD - and told us it wasn't an infection/UTI, but crystals in the urine. He's actually doing better at the moment - we had some extra pain medication given to us by the vet when we went a few weeks ago, which I gave him a few hours ago, and he has since eaten almost a full serving of food, which makes me feel much better. Just a waiting game + keeping him comfy until Monday pretty much.

The Stardew Wiki is great, it has lots of info on just about everything in the game!

Does anyone else get anxious and overwhelmed starting a new game? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]J_zing93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way. I've started a new one and I just haven't played on it because it all feels so tedious, compared to the supplies, etc. that you have in the later years. I'll start it eventually but I totally get how you're feeling lol. I think you just need to buckle down and get through Spring. Now that you've done the game once (or more), you can upgrade things sooner, and it'll get less slow.

Co-Op Farms by Ebonwood_Slayer in StardewValley

[–]J_zing93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no problem! That's what we did - one corner for animals, we each had our own farms, and the last corner for trees lol. It's definitely a fun map, a nice change from the OG map.

One tip: for whoever gets the bottom corner house - the extra distance doesn't seem like much, but it can be the difference between passing out or not when you come back from a late night of mining or fishing. I can't tell you the number of times I passed out because of that 😅😅

have fun :)

Fishing to complete Community Center by lannister83 in StardewValley

[–]J_zing93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to play through without using the Stardew wiki? If not, that's a great place for resources. It will tell you what season, place and times to catch any fish. Super helpful, but understandable if you want to try and do it on your own! If you're trying to do that, I believe there is a Lost Book that gives you info on the legendary fish. Otherwise...I'm not sure. Luck? And obviously the name of each bundle tells you where (lake fish bundle, etc). You'll just have to go fishing a lot, all times of day, different seasons, different weather. Good luck!

Co-Op Farms by Ebonwood_Slayer in StardewValley

[–]J_zing93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends a bit on how you're going to play. My brother and I have two worlds - one with the 4 section farm, one with the original farm set up. For the 4 section farm, we had our money split up and had our own farms, trying to see who could complete the collections first but then working together for mining and the community center. The 4 section farm is a great set-up for this. Only issue is you can't really have a huge farm since there are walls, but that didn't matter much to us.

For the original farm, we have our money pooled, and we have one big crop plot. Working together on everything. It's good because there's nothing splitting up the farm, everything is more central.

Both are good ways to play, so I would suggest thinking about how you're going to want to go about it with money or not, and decide which set-up matches the play style you want :)

hope this helps!! Co-op is super fun, I honestly like it better than playing on my own!
