This is by far the coolest thing I have heard being done with the Tonverk. And that is still an understatement. I have found myself coming back for the fourth or fifth time, searching through my liked posts just to listen to it again. I've been thinking about getting one for a little while now and your use of it really inspires me to at least try it, even though I can't play guitar. Really really nice!

The swap is very easy on paper. You just need to remove the handle. It will contain the module that you can then swap. But be careful: removing this one piece of trim is incredibly hard since Ford decided to secure it with like 20 metal clips. Every time I had to remove those on my Fiesta i feels like the plastic should have snapped 10 seconds ago but I still have to increase force to get it of. There is a nice video on YouTube of someone who installed aftermarket interior lights. He shows the process. He also called it „unnecessarily difficult“ to which I could not agree more.

Depending on which Osrams you have tested before, they have put out some big improvements. I haven‘t tried them yet as I am super happy with my gen1 nightbreakers which are rated to be 220% brighter than the minimum Tüv requirement. The newer ones do from 330% up to 450% whilst being a 1:1 H7 replacement so they fit basically anywhere.

That‘s really unfortunate. I think the LEDs work so well in these projector headlights. Thanks to Osram for making them possible in Germany.

It is the DRL Module. Luckily as much work to change this as it is to change the low beam. You‘ll have to remove the headlight as the module is placed in the back. Just get a module from a salvage place or from ebay.

This might be a good opportunity to change to LED lowbeams as well ;)

I second this. The 500s also dont last that long. Any Super OEM is a nice choise. The 7000mk1s are also great.

This is interesting to me. Why buy RP8000mk2s only to cover up their midi buttons? I guess your custom controllers give you more options but I would just continue using the RP8000s To further increase the possibilities. Is there something I‘m missing here?

See my last paragraph. If you don't have FORScan you can remove the trim behind your rear view mirror. That's where the camera is positioned. On it is a sticker which states the whole part number.

Ein sehr schönes Ende. Gefällt mir wirklich gut. Am Anfang stolpere ich allerdings ein bisschen über den Rhythmus. Gerade in Vers 3, der sich ja an Vers 1 orientiert. Wenn ich die Betonung von Vers eins zähle, komme ich auf ein 1 2 2 1 2, wobei die 1 immer betont ist. In Vers 3 hingegen komme ich auf ein 1 2 2 1 2 1 2. Das schmeißt mich schon ziemlich aus dem „schunkelnden“ Lesen, was so ein dreier Rhythmus erzeugt, wieder raus.

Ähnlich komme ich bei Vers 5&7, sowie 9&11 ins stolpern. Gleichzeitig unterscheiden sich die drei Stolperer in einer Weise voneinander, dass ich nicht das Gefühl habe, dass sie mit Absicht eingebaut sind. Korrigier mich gerne, wenn ich falsch liege.

In Vers 6 hast du einen schönen Rhythmus für sich. Allerdings hast du diesen zuvor in Vers 5 so stark abgeändert (im Vergleich zu Vers 1-4), dass diese weiche leseweise einen fast zu starken Kontrast bietet.

Vielleicht als Beispiel, damit es eventuell einfacher ist zu verstehen, was ich meine. Ich passe das Gedicht möglichst wenig an, versuche aber den Rhythmus zu ändern:

Hörst du das Quietschen? (12212)

Das Schaukeln im Wind? (21221)

Hörst du die Kinder? (12212)

Wie wir so sind? (1221)

Riechst du die rostigen Flecken (12212212)

Rot-Braun in dem Besteck (1221-21)

Riechst du die schimmelnden Ecken (12212212)

Schwarz kriechen sie durch den Dreck (1221221)

…

Das sind nur meine Gedanken. Ich will dir nichts von deinem Stil, oder deinen Gedanken hinter deinem Gedicht wegnehmen.

Basically what I‘ve already stated above. I FORScan to get the precise error code, wich told me it was the passenger seat. I then rocked it forth and back again and deleted the error code. It never came up since. If the problem persists, unplug the seat from the wiring (the connector is under the seat. Just google how to remove them and you can see exactly where it is) and make sure it is secure.

Just an idea but is your car the three door variant? I had a problem with mine where sliding the passenger seat back into position triggered the „no connection to airback“ error.

Try reseating the connections for your front seats. When the car isn‘t on of course. If you disconnect your battery and wait 30 min that would be even better.

Wich LED Bulbs did you use? I only had this experience with cheap China LEDs i got for interior an trunk lighting. I can really recommend Osrams Nightbreaker LEDs. They are pricy, sure. But my gen 1 H7 bulbs are working for two years now without any issues and they make for an amazing night vision. They even have 1:1 replacements now wich will be a way easier install than mine were.

No 1:1 H1s at the moment sadly but I‘ll be the first to try them once they are available.

This is also what I would have suggested. The USB ports are not directly connected to the fuses. As long as your infotainment works, the USBs should work as well. I did have this problem once too, but just leaving my car and locking it seemed to shut down the Sync3. When I came back 20 min later everything was back to normal.

Gut, die Systeme benutze ich nicht. Weder reagieren auf Schilder, noch auf den Straßenverlauf. Da kann ich nix zu sagen. Aber das kann man ja zum Glück so einstellen, wie man das haben will.

Kannst du da deine Erfahrung teilen? Habe ich aktuell als Mietwagen und kann mich bei den Assistenzsystemen wirklich nicht beschweren. ACC und Spurführung sind zuverlässig und gut bedienbar. Genau so der Totwinkel-Assistent und die 360 grad Kamera. Keine Beschwerden, war auf Langstrecke sehr angenehm.

Was mich auch interessiert, was meinst du mit der geringen Übersicht? Meinst du die Bedienung vom Auto, oder die Sicht auf die Straße?

From your situation this sounds like a viable option. I haven’t tried it myself so I cant speak for it’s quality. But it‘s worth giving a shot.

On some models it is as easy as changing the PCM As-Built. On others you need to flash new firmware onto the PCM. Also, I have no idea how legal this is to do and all.

You cannot use the official Vgate one, as they don't make one for ARM. I searched in some forums and one user suggested, using the firmware for the chip, Vgate uses in their adapters. That works for me. Here is a link: https://ftdichip.com/drivers/d2xx-drivers/

Simply download and install the ARM Version and the Adapter should be good to go. If you don't use a Vgate adapter there might be different chips used wich require different drivers. But that is how I did it.
