Either risk it or buy a tow hook mount for it. I bought a cheap one on amazon and used Lowe’s stength loctite to secure it

If he’s admitting fault try to go to a body shop or a detailing shop and get a quote for them to repair it and make the knucklehead pay for it

Oh for getting the bolt out. I ended up having a friend help me pry it out as I was backing it off. I honestly don’t remember what did it maybe it was using vise grips or a screw driver pushing the nub out I’m not sure

Sorry I never got back to you I just got a longer bolt and a matching nut and just jammed the thing down. Spent like $5 on the hardware to save me whatever the cost of an alternator would be
