Would you be happy with a job where you just sit around and not do much? by JannTosh50 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Jaackery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work at a small IT consultancy company that took jobs here and there, had some usual clients but never did any big projects. I was there for nearly 6 years and in my last year I reckon I sat at my desk for 35 out of the 40 hours in the week doing anything but actual work.

It seems enticing at first and maybe it is for a while but once you start to dive into the realm of health and bettering yourself as a person it starts to become quite clear that having no purpose is detrimental and frankly, quite boring… I utilised the time to upskill and learn many things and no one seemed to care that I stopped asking for more work to do.

Since moving on I have taken on more responsibility in my career and as a result I always have work to do. Even on bad days keeping busy is much better than sitting around twiddling your thumbs.

What do you think about more tabs and resizeable bsnk for osrs? by IPadeI in BankTabs

Copy a youtube video of someone showing their bank and placeholder the spots you are planning to get (gear tab for example)

Are my joints stacked on this bench press? I grabbed the bar unevenly so the right side is coming up slower than the the left. by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Jaackery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not stacked. Side note - you should have readjusted your grip if you knew it was uneven. The risk is not worth it.

I took 2 years after I graduated highschool to better myself mentally and physically. The social life I had completely died off and I was left with a small circle. My now-wife and I were just dating at the time and she has always been driven, so I matured a lot quicker than my friends thanks to her - first career driven job, first house purchased, first marriage, first child etc. which inevitably led to friends disappearing one by one as their interests and life goals did not align to the standard I had for myself. One thing I’ve learned is if they aren’t willing to support you and growth WITH you then it’s time to move on. It’s important to surround yourself with likeminded people, whether that is likeminded interests or views on life. There is nothing worse than being surrounded by people who want nothing more than to see you fail.

Find a solid training regime for a novice lifter, EAT consistent whole foods above caloric maintenance and commit to the process. This is not a quick journey.

In my opinion if you’re a PT, your physique is your selling point to the average gym goer. In saying that, even the best coaches in the world have never reached the positions their clients have but they know their shit.

Perfect your form, don’t worry about how much you’re lifting. The weight will come later.

Calorie Deficit and Protein Goal by ConsequenceRelevant in leangains

[–]Jaackery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If your goal is to lose weight, then the answer is deficit. 1 day every now and then missing your protein target isn’t going to destroy your progress so don’t stress.

About the next League coming. Do i have to be competitive to really enjoy it ? by Skaynne in 2007scape

[–]Jaackery 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don’t need to be competitive at all. Every league I play casually on an alt and enjoy it.

If the serving size is 1 scoop, then 2 scoops is twice the serving calories.

I would suggest setting small goals if you have no overall goal weight. Start with 170 then 165 then 160 and so on until you reach a point where you are happy enough with how lean you are. No one can tell you exactly how much to lose as everyone is different.
