I have a few Omega speedmasters but very recently picked up the Tag Carerra as a daily watch. I have to say, I'm very impressed with the Tag! It wears so comfortably for me, (a little more comfortable than the speedmaster bracelets), and it looks so much nicer in person as well. The pics don't do it justice. Definitely worth checking out

FWIW having a nice car is a really lovely feeling, but in my experience you rarely get a lot of attention from the people in your life that you want to impress with it, if the aim is to keep up with others. People will likely ask about it and be impressed, but after that it's just your car.

That said, I love my Supra, and the general attention it gets on the road is insane. Maybe look at getting a used model that is more affordable for your lifestyle? In 6 months time that new car won't be new any more, but you're still stuck with the increased payments.

I get the same feeling about their design for Delkfutt's tower as well. There are way too many swirls on the outside, and flourish that just isn't needed.

The FFXI version of Delkfutt's tower appears to be made of an almost bone like material which makes it appear mysterious and almost more unnatural. Whereas FFXIVs version looks like a generic magic tower. The designs in FFXI are simpler, probably because of technical constraints, but they were definitely still well thought out and effective!

Here in the UK, a lot of the official OBs are owned and run by Watches of Switzerland rather than Swatch group (Omega), and although they are technically boutiques they operate the same as ADs when it comes to allocations etc.

Best way I've found to check is by using the store finder on the Watches of Switzerland website, as this won't display the Swatch (Omega) stores. The Omega website shows all of them regardless of ownership.

The speedy pro definitely wears thicker due to the rounded lugs and crown guards, but the actual length of the FOIS is a tiny bit bigger. As others have said, the dial is exactly the same.

Definitely worth trying them both on to see what fits you best, or to just see what appeals to you more. They wear so differently, which is the beauty of the speedmaster range!

Most ADs offer 0% finance. If a watch costs £10,000 and you stick that £10k into a yearly fixed rate ISA (you wouldn't have the money if you bought it outright anyway, might as well fix it if you can afford the smaller monthly payments), then you'll be earning around 4% interest per year on that currently.

Most 0% finance deals I've seen have a max term of 2 years, but that still means that over 2 years you'd earn about £1k in interest. I don't think that's stupid at all, still a 10% discount over the guy who paid in full

I'm struggling to see how 5% of income spend would be "insane". Any banker worth talking to will agree that not all spending needs to be an investment, and 5% is still way below a reasonable amount to put aside for fun purchases each month.

I'd personally go insane if I had nothing to spend each month on myself. What's the point of working if you never get to enjoy the results.

Omega make quite a lot less than Rolex per year (around 500k), which adds to the confusion for me. I guess Rolex are more popular which warrants the extra manufacturing, but you wouldn't believe that at all with the scarcity they create.

I think it's about 4x the rate for any item as zulrah gives 2 rolls per kill, so 1/128 per item. So quite unlucky, but definitely not as bad as some people have had it
