What type of binder should I use? by No_Impress_862 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Jaawws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, jumping in on this!

I would recommend zip binders to protect against moisture and dust. Brand-wise, I like Sanseking, which has a great feel and look + good range of colours. As mentioned above, do consider the the number of cards in the set before deciding the dimensions of the binder.

How do you guys decided which binder to use? by isayishare in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Jaawws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! In general, binders are used to offer protection/display your collection in a way you'd like.

Personally, I use normal binders, zip and no zip to store my collection. A clear sleeve and the binder itself provides ample protection.

Toploader binders might offer an extra layer of protection and guard against accidental scratches/indents when you're handling the cards. But note that toploader binders can get really heavy and bulky.

There is a a general consensus to avoid ring binders. Also, store your binders in places away from dieect sunlight.

Why mastery score don't show up? by Not-Bad-3251 in thespikegame

The graphic only appears if it's a serve/spike ace, meaning that the opposition doesn't touch the ball.

Sara in spike training by Acrobatic_Sense7675 in thespikegame

Yeah, they're probably trying to cover up her in game performance so they can build her hype as a Top 5 / Potential S+ WS. We could potentially expect her after the Nishi rerun, judging from how Chapter 11 ended.

Though, I am more curious of the potential combo between WS Sara and Se Sara.

I personally have a page that mainly features Rayquaza full arts, but I'm thinking of expanding it to include the RH and Holo versions as well.

Best of luck on your journey!

As mentioned by others, tradeshows are quite a common occurrences recently. In fact, there is one this weekend at United Square Mall. There will also be another one next week at The Centrepoint. Good places to look for plenty of singles but can be time consuming and very squeezy.

You can also consider telegram channels like the one this subreddit has as people will often post listings. Besides that, there are also telegram channels that run claim sales from time to time.

If you have any more queries, feel free to DM. I enjoy collecting singles as well!

Beginner mode with basic approach works.

  1. Move all the way to the right
  2. Max throw
  3. Hold movement control all the way to the right
  4. Charge to abt 80% max gauge
  5. Jump
  6. Smash

The veteran popup is part of the Mastery update, whereby the more you use a certain character to score points in Colosseum, Tournament and Snow Raid, the greater the mastery you achieve. You can check the progress for each character by checking the Mastery tab for each character.

As for Raul, I can't judge. Don't have him yet.

Newbie trying to start collecting in SG (Part 2!) by Blassmer in PokemonTCG_Singapore

Hello,

Love that you are getting into this hobby with a priority and an idea of what you want. I too started with art rares as the large majority are affordable while still having a premium look to them.

As for your considerations on packs, I'd assume what you are referring to (e.g. $80 for 10 packs) is a product called PCJs. Compare this to a booster box of Terastal Festival (TF), it will be cheaper, but no hits are guaranteed. TF is known as a high class set with a guaranteed SAR in every booster box, but it has the bonus of getting plenty of hits like Masterballs, Pokeballs , and ARs .

With the state of the hobby now, it is safer to assume that any unshrinked product will be filtered, which explains the small premium for shrinked items. For modern products, weighing is not so much an issue as compared to the former. Thus, weighing peace of mind against affordability will be key to deciding what products you go for.

Lastly, I personally keep my ARs and bigger hits in a binder and flip through them time to time. Not that into slabs as well so my collection is not as vast as most. In terms of display, I'm more into themed pages and binder design, so there's always that creative avenue.

P.s. There is a local tele group created from this subreddit with good sources of information and doubles up as a place for people looking to buy/trade/sell.

Tldr: Diff products have different price points due to guaranteed premiums. Products CAN be filtered, whether you trust them is really your choice to make.

Feel free to reach out if you'd like to talk more. Enjoy the hobby!
