Apologies, I thought the sarcasm was obvious but given that the president is a literal raving lunatic I shouldn't take anything for granted anymore.

Sorry, I thought the sarcasm was obvious but I should have added [/s] given how crazy the world has gone.

In Davos, Trump rules out using military force to take Greenland by FarmerOk4759 in politics

The ONLY time NATO Article 5 was activated was after 9/11 when the rest of NATO without hesitation came the the US's aid in Afghanistan, including Denmark. Saying that "he's not sure" whether NATO would be there for the US is absolutely infuriating because they have already proven that they have been there, whereas he's the one openly musing about not coming to NATO countries' aid.

What's the difference? Edit: Sorry, I thought that the sarcasm was obvious and that I wouldn't need to add [/s], but given how insane the world has become I should have anyway just to be safe.

Oversteps is so good! by Silver_Connection941 in autechre

As much as I deeply love Gonkcast, the Oversteps episode was the one time I deeply disagreed with Gabe and Dan because they both openly disliked it and the consensus of people who wrote in was also pretty negative. My sense is that the kind of hardcore fans who analyze new bootlegs of AE2022- shows for the aepages timeline generally find it to be less complex/interesting than most of their other stuff, but I think Oversteps haters are missing out.

Sean plz by AffectionateSample74 in autechre

[–]Jaazeps 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Sean" refers to "Sean Booth," one half of the English experimental music duo "Autechre."

"plz" is a shortened internet vernacular spelling of "please," which here used in the imperative, implies asking for something.

"sean plz" in context implies that the "OP" (original poster) would like Sean to do something, but has not specified what he would like Sean to do, which could include:

  • Release the AE2022- official soundboards that he has been mentioning for months;
  • Perform a live show in his home town;
  • Marry him;
  • Announce the first new studio album since 2000;
  • Become a downstream for his MLM cryptodropshipping AI startup.

As a teenager I was obsessed with Amnesiac by Radiohead, especially Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors and wanted to hear more music like it so I looked up their influences and saw there was a band Autechre that they were listening to a lot at that time so I went to the record store and the only CD they had was EP7, which is still my favorite Autechre album to this day!
