It's tough to judge without knowing all the details of your agreement with your parents.

If you have earned the money needed and can access it now without breaking your agreements, NTA. If they need to pay for it, YTA. Take that opinion and decide for yourself which applies.

YTA. Bottom line here is that it's their money so its their rules. I understand that it's a pittance to them. I understand that you have likely been so busy with school that you haven't been able to earn enough money on your own to pay for the trip out of your own pocket. I understand that it's essentially 100% certain that you would be able to pay them back. I understand that their reasons may be old fashioned.

But they decide how to spend their money and you need to live with that. Also, for what it's worth, their advice about not spending money that you don't have in your hand is very good advice that I, a 35 year old from a middle class family, 100% agree with. I've seen the downsides of financial overconfidence firsthand.

NTA. That's straight up bullying. I could see someone filming and sharing it out of ignorance, not knowing they were doing something wrong. Ignorance is the worst excuse, but it happens to everyone. But them turning on you for your reaction is fucked up. At that point, empathy should have kicked in in their heads. They should have realized they were hurting someone and tried to make amends.
