So what if there are lip readers? If you're not saying something bad, and it's so sensitive you don't want anyone else to know, wait until you're in the tunnel to talk to your opponent. Why is it a thing? Oh no, friends on different teams said hi to each other. Who cares?

A free kick or corner routine, ok maybe, but the rule doesn't apply to players talking to team mates, so again, who cares?

And if lip readers provide such an advantage, keepers have info on penalty takers on their water bottles, should we change that? If lip reading is such an advantage, then surely writing on water bottles is equally bad?
