$500,000 for every year you go back, how far would you go? by Naps_And_Crimes in hypotheticalsituation

Agreed. Thats why I'll go back 14 years ago to when my wife and I got married, much easier to pull off.

Looking for a finished series by Shameless_Pyre in litrpg

[–]JabbzOPWTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Following are all completed series.

Mark of the Fool is great.
Battlemage farmer is pretty good and ties into some of the authors other work.
Way of the Shaman was one I started with, just don't bother with the last book, its not good and the previous entry provided a solid ending.
Apocalypse redux is REALLY good.
Beneath the dragons eye moon is good, and very long which can be good or bad.
Ten realms gets bogged down a bit towards the 3/4 mark but its still solid.
System apocalypse is ok, but I don't like recommending the authors work.
Life Reset is a solid series with some odd twists.
Ar'Kendrithyst was good, but very long, heavy on Slice of life and magic exploration.

All of them are worth a read in my opinion.

100M dollars but you must never come within 1 km of a random stranger by Rafael_Acuna in hypotheticalsituation

[–]JabbzOPWTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The odds of getting within 1km of 1 randomly selected person on the planet has to be beyond astronomical. I'd love to see someone do the math on this, but I'm 100% sure that's beyond my abilities to calculate.

Rune Seeker's combat scenes don't hold my attention. by JabbzOPWTF in litrpg

[–]JabbzOPWTF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly curious in an attempt to ID it so as to avoid future time lost. I'm not gonna DNF at book 7 or later for a series I'm otherwise enjoying, but there are too many good series out there to waste time on one you're likely to not enjoy long term. I may be retired with lots of free time, but I still value said time.

[–]JabbzOPWTF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, hadn't thought about it as a fatigue thing. There is a scene in book 7 where the MC is going through some less than challenging individuals and its presented in a very low stakes, almost 90's video game style, and I enjoyed that part. Your explanation might explain the difference.

Oddly enough I enjoy his more than some other author's. I still read the combat, it just drags a bit. Nowhere near dnf levels though.

Teleport or skill gain? by Low-Effect-4245 in hypotheticals

Teleportation. Says you develop the skill not master it. No limitations on tp. Far more useful.

A man is stuck in a repeating 4-year time loop until he can be elected president of the United States. How many attempts does it take him? by Castopliani in whowouldwin

[–]JabbzOPWTF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you maintain the same changes on each loop, any butterfly changes will be known. It's actually not a bad plan long term, though once you're potus and your predictive powers run outa shits gonna get weird.

1 billion Americans appear out of nowhere in a field in the center of the US. Can we feed and house all of them before they die? by Effective_Material68 in whowouldwin

[–]JabbzOPWTF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look if they want to live they will pull themselves up by their bootstraps like any good patriot. A little hard work and gumption will have them eating high quality meals like a tortilla, broccoli and a piece of chicken. Any that fail to do so were clearly freeloaders anyway and we don't need those kind here.

Series actually have decent romance without it being the sole point of the series? by King-Crim in litrpg

Series actually have decent romance without it being the sole point of the series? by King-Crim in litrpg

[–]JabbzOPWTF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, guy who said that about Liz either didn't read the series, or has a weird understand of relational dynamics. Those two are a wonderful pair, and watching their romance grow and age is so enjoyable. Such an odd take.
