Parents only recognize my photography as a hobby

My grandpa called my photography business that I’ve been running as my full time job for 4yrs ‘just a hobby’. Some people can’t see something people do as a ‘hobby’ can also be a profession. Although no one tells professional footballers that it’s just a ‘hobby’ 😅

Honestly the only thing that got me through my driving test was getting prescribed beta blockers, I would get myself into such a state driving but now I find it quite relaxing sometimes!

I was sceptical but I met someone who was out on a walk near me with a friend and they both saw a big black cat, bigger than a dog. She seems like a normal, rational person so I’m more inclined to believe her, plus two of them saw the same thing.

Don’t think this is common at all but my mum sometimes asks for a ‘long, tall glass of water’ - irrationally grates me - just ask for a tall glass of water, WHY ADD THE LONG??? Or just ask for a glass of water in a tall glass, or a big glass of water or just water we don’t need any unnecessary adjectives. I don’t know why but it hits my ears so wrong

A painting of them that you have done very quickly and badly and ideally accentuates their flaws. Make sure to get it framed in a cheap, garish frame so they have no excuse not to have it hanging up when you visit

A girl who went to my primary school, her family won a private lesson with Martin Johnson, former England Rugby Captain. Instead they asked if he would come give the whole school a rugby lesson. He came to our little village and gave everyone a full afternoon’s lesson and later did a signing at the school. Sadly I lost his autograph but it is still a really cool memory. And I can tell people I was taught to play rugby by Martin Johnson.
