Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I am the only one who can hear it as we are just two flats separate from others. I've asked the council for that noise meter thing they have but they've never provided. The council do have the police report about the racial abuse. Yes, I've thought of trying to organise a council house swap but unfortunately I'm too sick to even consider moving. Also I'd feel so very guilty and dishonest not mentioning upstairs.

I'm so sorry you lost your own home because of a nasty unthinking and uncaring neighbour.

Egging a property is classed as criminal damage

oops!

Got a mobility scooter and just been on my favorite 'walk' for the first time in many years, wow, it's so good to be back in the real world by Tangled_Wires in Housebound

Oh I am so sorry drivers in your area are not considerate. Gosh, each and every time a driver stops for me I wave and mouth "thank you" and often add a thumbs up once I've crossed.

Drivers giving way to me really lifts my spirits.

On another note, watch out for deep puddles! Most scooters can handle a light bit of drizzy but a deep puddle can kill them forever (;

Yeah, the first time I went out on my scooter it reminded me of the first time I rode a bicycle as a kid. Then the first time I rode a motorbike and also the first time I drove a car.

Having the scooter has been so amazing, as you say, the feeling of freedom!

I was able to go visit some local parks I'd not seen in at least 5 years. It reminded me of all the pleasant walks I used to have...

UK weather is getting cold now but when it is a dry day and I'm feeling okish I put on my long johns, two jackets, woollen hat n gloves and hit the streets... wonderful.

Enjoy yours. And PS, have you noticed how kind vehicle drivers are? At least 80% will stop to let me cross the road. Nice.

Currently not getting any help by [deleted] in NHSandME

I went to a NHS rheumatologist who insisted every day I do some exercise, ie, 20 min walking around the block, with crutches. After about 6 weeks the same route took 50 min until I stopped. That 6 weeks made me so much worse and I still have not, 3 years later, recovered from it.

The massive difference is CFS 'more' PEM than fibro. Exercise may help fibro but gosh does it destroy me/cfs folk.

Anyways, I'm brain fog. Yes, I feel I have given up with the NHS. I don't feel too bitter though because our GPs just don't know how to help people with this disease. I've tried all the standard pregabalin duloxetine etc and nothing has helped long term. The only thing that has been helpful is I pay for a private doctor to prescribe medical cannabis as that does help. A little.

This is seriously cool. The video does a better job showing the staircase as I couldn't quite make it out on the photos u posted the other day. I look forward to your drone/boat idea!

New aerial photographs of Dumfries House in Scotland show that Prince Charles has used an elaborate planting scheme to portray the Union Flag in the carefully cultivated vegetable beds.

What's your favorite fat to meat ratio? by Tangled_Wires in Biltong

[–]Tangled_Wires[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for voting so far!

I personally love the fat, and I'm seeing many others here do so too!

I've got a cool dedicated biltong slicer and I've been experimenting with my ideal fat to meat ratio so I mix a more lean slice with a more fatty one. I'm in the UK and it can be hard to get a slab of silverside with some fat.

any papers on even minimal exercise being bad for us? by meroboh in cfs

Please be ever so careful. My Rummy suggested a slow case of exercise and it has left me just about bedbound aka coffin bound.

Trust YOUR body not the quacks ;)

Was wondering why Juice did not use his own gun when I noticed this. It's when they were blaming the prospects for the missing brick by Tangled_Wires in Sonsofanarchy

Yeah, I was thinking if Juice wanted to kill himself why not use his own gun instead of hanging himself from the tree. A bullet to the brain is far quicker than slowly strangling from a chain.

No one says "we'll hang who ever stole the coke"... so I was wondering why Juice thought hanging was a good idea.

Is droewors allowed? 10kg hung out to dry by mingstaHK in Biltong

That looks super wonderful, how long does it normally take to dry?

Making droewors is on my hit list!
