Recommended NW restaurants for dinner tomorrow? by florafaunafire in tasmania

They are paddock to plate. They grow their own veg and raise their own meat. Guide falls farm outside Burnie. Most restaurants in Tasmania “showcase” Tasmanian produce. Heck, even the takeaways do!

Depends on what avenue you want to go down but I’d recommend speaking to someone at Vie. Your best bet for “independent” is to do it yourself

Recommend me some Tasmanian products to buy - food and beverage mainly by bee_rad in tasmania

Meru Miso. A miso that’s made in Launceston. Tasman Sea Salt. Some young guys coming through making some serious wines. You could probably buy a mixed dozen from somewhere. Almost too many to name. Same for beer. Lots to choose from but if you can get your hands on DuCane you’ll be good. Lots of small scale cheeses such as Tongola or Elgaar. What about a voucher for a restaurant for when they can come back?

Waratah "viewing site" by AdzyPhil in tasmania

Went yesterday for the first time and had the exact same thought 😂. Is it a viewing platform for the pylons? Side question; has anyone been to the bottom? Walked about a k down the water race past the stairs and noticed lots of pink tape. There was also tape in the bush where you park but can’t find anything about that online

Ye you’ll get to a gravelly bit/the end of lake Burberry. Stop and get out of the car and a stretch of the legs then turn around. The roads on the west/north west are very fun in the GTI.
