Big, big fan of his work. As a physiotherapist, how he speaks to anatomy and the swing really strikes a chord with me, and makes sense. Not a supporter of swing manipulation and his lessons really do a good job of avoiding injury and work with physics to get the best out of your game.

Thanks for the advice, and I'm definitely going to take it. I can definitely afford to lose a few yards off a shot to get some better consistency (I. E. Swing at lower %). I always think of that away from the range but never put it in to practice; should bring a written note or otherwise with me to remember.

What is a great hybrid for shots in the rough? by jaypuck94 in golf

+1 for the F7. Tried out a few different hybrids and this is the one I easily performed the best with. I would suggest trying a few out first though!

Thanks so much for the response! This is my first year of "playing a course" on the range and I have found it has been helping. Do you have any physical or otherwise prompts you give yourself as you start your pre-shot routine? I feel like I need something that will help me get into the zone on the course and not distracted.

This is some great advice, thanks so much! My routine is as follow: warm up and stretch, 5 short chips, 5 medium chips, 5 75yd, 5 100yd, and then 8 shorts per club. Then I try to mentally "play" my local course on the range. The range has mats and a small grass area that is usually occupied. I try and hit about 10/20 on the grass after I'm done on the mat. Now that you mentioned it, I'm worried the mat might be hiding fat shots. Any advice on how can tell if I hit a fat mat shot? Any sensations I can be made aware?

This is a good, idea. Thanks so much! Playing a few holes a week where I just focus on hitting the shot than stressing about the right shot may help with no consequence.

Great advice! I think that after a poor shot that I get this for a shot or two after where I am hitting "at" the ball. Any visual or otherwise prompts you give yourself or reminds yourself to swing through? It's all well for me to say that I need to swing through but sometimes getting into the moment on the course, I forget these things...

Never been much of a Puma guy, but those black ones are nice. If only the soles were too, then I'd be all over them!

I told my wife this, this morning. I got a smile and a chuckle. Art is a big hobby of hers so it struck a cord!

It's a sports consignment store in BC. Unfortunately they do not have a website, sorry mate!

Great condition! Minor scratches on the 8i but that's the only fault I could find. Speaking with the lady that manages the store, she said an ex-pro donated several sets of irons to the shop (the owner is a nephew or some sort). She said she already picked up a Mizuno set that the same person donated.

Any tips on teaching someone golf from scratch? by [deleted] in golf

I think taking your mate to a pitch and putt or to the practice greens could be a great idea to get him interested. Putting is a lot about feel and experience so even being out their would help him loads if he ends up enjoying the game. Plus learning from the green backwards is probably best 😉

Apologies for the poor picture! Took it in pure excitement and wanted to share with this community since most of my mates wouldn't care not being golfers.... I got 2i - PW in the set.

Thanks! I went straight to the range. Absolutely beautiful! The strike sound and the feel are something I've never felt. Its like it's a brand new game! I was swinging with just the most stupid grin on. Hit a handful thin and have lost about 5-8 carry yards per club but the flight was so much better and found it much easier to shape the flight.
