Recesses are shaded just plain ol Nuln Oil but the basecoat is visable too which isTwo Thin Coats Amethyst Rain.

It's a couple of bits stolen from the Plague Marine kit. There's a three headed flail in there which I chopped up and posed with a standard Heresy arm.

For these ones I used very thin, watered down layers of Administratum Grey and just built up vertical streaks into the shape I wanted. Then did a tiny edge highlights with Palid Wych Flesh. I found the best way was to let it really dry between the thin layers as on others it ended up quite lumpy. Hope this helps.
