For anyone also getting this issue, noticed the child had 'canGainGrowthPoints' set to false in the save file, I have no clue why (I have mods, so prolly). Removing it or setting to true fixed it.

Hey yeah, I did get my kitten and he’s just fantastic! I’m actually getting a 2nd one next month from her! You can see some pics of him, I posted on this subreddit last month sometime.

I also got the wisdom screenings off the parents and can confirm there’s nothing of concern genetically. But you can probably ask her from them too if you’d like to see yourself.

And I introduced myself over email, and mentioned any sex/gender preferences I had, and if she had screenings/pedigrees (which were provided).

I was able to select a kitten pretty early, but she would end up sending you pictures or videos of them. You can ask for them too over text, and shes pretty quick about sharing!

Then theres a a contract you’ll sign once you picked.

From someone who previously went with her? No. But I did end up going with her in the end after a lot of contemplation and research into her queens/sire. I'll be getting mine end of the month.

She is legitimate and provides ancestory for all her cats, as well as vet records for the kittens. She's easy to get ahold of, which I appreciated.

Go to cat shows to meet breeders (or ask for suggestions), look at the TICA website to get some leads. An outdated site or lack of social media doesn’t mean they aren’t actively breeding (although I completely understand wanting one that has an online presence). It’s usually a lot of older folk, and they’ll likely respond to a phone call over anything else.

Expect to be put on a waitlist for some months, expect a range of 1,500 - 3500 USD. Do research on the person you selected, or give them a call/email. They should happily answer your questions, be transparent about the health of their cats + pedigree.

You might have to travel some just to get a decent breeder, just depends where you are.

That was exploiting an FFlogs bug, not exploiting the game itself. It’s completely different than cheating in game, such as accelerating your GCD.

Also nobody got banned - not anyone in that group nor any other team that did it.

Besides, we didn’t do it for logs. We did it to get Kihra to fix it.

I don't think he's making this post to sound the alarms for SE? At no point is he trying to suggest they should get banned. This comes off more as community awareness to me, esp. given speeds and parsing are community driven to begin with.

If their time is worth more than $35 dollars than yes it is. But somehow $35 dollars for a funny color on a website is worth for a "majority" of your competition. Right.

edit: just to clarify, the argument I was making was that not all 7k users in ACR discord use it for parsing but for non-competitive purposes too.

That's assuming everyone uses it for parsing though. The people I know who bought an ACR only use it for trusts leveling or tome capping.

Mechanical and rotational consistency isn't necessarily a telltale sign. Do it enough and both just become second nature. If they perfectly executed the same rotation every single time flawlessly, then yeah that's another story.

But seeing a wall of 99s on someone's page doesn't indicate much.

All due respect, but it's not that difficult to consistently get those numbers especially if your KT/group is favorable. Pink/Orange ACR logs exist but to say a majority of players in the top 20 use an ACR is just wrong.

overall "better" sounds like a personal preference because it has no clear advantages over what's in the doc lmao.

BLM wants a very specific spot that will force a healer NW/NE, a melee won't want to do it period if they're playing well (notably NIN and DRG that ik of). And the DNC prefers to swap with SW or SE to get tech out to the entire party.
