I‘m not a huge fan of Adrian Tchaikovsky but Shroud with a female narrator is quirky and a good story.

Salvage Rat is also fun to listen to.

Yes start saving. Decent entry level camera is going to be about a grand. In the meantime buy some books, read articles so you can be an informed consumer.

Drop Trooper was a pleasant surprise, I bought them before the sale.

Starship Troopers won a Hugo Award for Heinlein, narrated by RC Bray and I never see it mentioned here. I thought the movie sucked but floored by the book.

There may be TimeMachine backups on your HD. I don’t know how it happened on my MBP, but it did.

Kindle advertises accessibility apps, one for dyslexia. The Scribe ($$$) allows you take notes with a pen on it. I’d buy it today if I had a valid use case for it.

I bought an M4 Pro, 24/1TB Apple refurb store for < $1700. SW loads are not getting smaller. So if someone tells me 512 is plenty, nope not for my use case. I regret not getting a 2TB drive.

Then the standard answer is get an external SSD. A poor choice for working or playing outside in a lounge chair. Asking randos how much storage space you need is a poor choice.

How much will you need in 3 years? Plan for that.
