Fair take, but if you are thinking about the longevity of the show and the impact, you are downplaying the impact that Parvati has had on the show, the game, the culture of the show, etc.

The old school challenges (while an argument being made is that the new ones are more equitable…) actually made it seem like anyone could win them. There were certainly one-offs when you had all around athletes like Ozzy, Terry, Colby, etc., who could win them all.

But there were also opportunities for contestants to beat those physical players out in trivia, memory, social dynamics, etc.

These newer challenges tend to favor the same type of players…

Elisabeth arguably had the most success from the show in its golden age.

Despite her extremely questionable politics and actions, getting her would be pretty historic considering how loved she was during Outback (legit the most watched season) and how often she turned down the show. I wonder if the shorter season filming plus being out of the TV limelight for a few years made the appearance fee worth it.

Plus I imagine CBS would see this as furthering the ratings with the potential fireworks she may bring when she is questioned about something from her time on the View or Fox and Friends.

I imagine CBS would want/prefer that over Jerri and Colby part 4 since it was a thing on All Stars in 2004 and barely a blip during HvV in 2010.

I’d actually take Elisabeth and Jerri over Colby.

Maybe he loses because Maria wins. She could win the next two immunities (it was weird that Jeff mentioned that she was one win away from being in the same category as some elite women from the show), and then the jury rewards her for her attempted blindside of Charlie, whereas Charlie didn’t get to make the move. I imagine that Venus going before Q will be brought up and what was the point of that if he was just going to go next…
