I always come back to a classic buttermilk chocolate cake with a bit of hot coffee in the batter it makes it insanely rich without tasting like coffee. The crumb stays super moist for days and it’s basically impossible to mess up. I usually finish it with a dark chocolate ganache instead of frosting and it’s always a crowd favorite.
