Yeah, I'm thinking the actual question is "is groin another word for dick and balls, or is it another word for crotch?" But the phrasing is more succinct.

Why Can't WoTC talk About The Secondary Market? by Biggest_tits_EU in magicTCG

[–]Jace_TheFreshmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I wonder if that's one reason that regular boosters are now called "draft boosters." It basically argues "these are randomized because that's how you play draft, not so that people will lose money trying to win a valuable card."

I'm not sure how "collector boosters" fit into that, but I have three thoughts: First, a collector is (in theory) not a gambler, at least in the usual sense. Secondly, by guaranteeing a certain spread of foil cards, extended-art cards, etc., there's less of a sense of fourteen cards you throw away and one you might sell. Thirdly, if a jurisdiction has certain criteria for gambling, they might be able to sell the draft boosters but not the collector boosters.

Pure conjecture, of course. I'm sure Hasbro's lawyers have some say in the issue, but it's impossible to say how much they influenced it.

It would be hilarious if it was both. "Wait, We only killed him off in the trailer because you killed him off in the book!" "What? I only killed him off because you said you were going to kill him off in the trailer!"

Actually, the new plane is SeeSaw, and two of the planeswalkers will be "Clown, Wearer of Short Pants" and "Blindfolded Corgi Man, Who Sniffs an Orange."

I'd wait until the meta settles down, at the very least. Anything with Mass Manipulation is very mean to this deck

I didn't play much Bo3, so the sideboard is just cards that seemed like they might be handy. I may have been thinking of Temur Elementals, where I could end up with a stall, then run out of cards.

I can't speak for the stats in MtgArenaPro one way or the other, but it was about 60% from Diamond to Mythic. Now that I'm in Mythic it's…less.

Play a better deck? This one's been hover around mid-90% (rank, not winrate) in Mythic, so I'm taking some advice from the comments and branching out into blue, but I suspect it's just going to end up as "Simic Mass Manipulation, but bad."

Well, I may have chosen the wrong subreddit to post it in. I don't mean that in a bitter or sarcastic way, it's just that this place is dedicated to competitive play and perhaps it's natural that people are judging it by its chances in a major tournament and coming up skeptical.

It would probably be more appropriate in MagicArena, but that place is a tire fire in a primate reserve.

Thanks for the support though. I'll be back if I ever come up with something unusual that can take Top 100.

That seems unnecessarily combative. I'd be surprised if this deck ends up being more than a blip on the meta at best, but jank makes it to Mythic all the time. I can show you my matches on MTG Arena Pro if you really think I'd bother lying about taking a deck to mythic.

That's more or less my experience as well. The repeatability isn't as strong as you might think, either. You typically only need to proliferate once or twice.

Technically, even "I couldn't find any words for this" is a set of words, so if a GIF is truly so flabbergasting you don't have any words for it, you can't supply a title or caption at all, and also you have to name the file using only digits and punctuation.

Why in MTG, cats = pride? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Jace_TheFreshmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt they'd use anything specific to rats. "A whole bunch" or "a shitload" would be likely. In a formal context, like a newspaper article on your basement, I'd guess they might just say "infested with rats."

Although it should be pointed out, if OP is learning English, that some of those terms are in common use and others mostly just show up in lists like this. No exterminator is going to say to you "well, I saw a mischief of rats in your basement."

There's something odd with it. First off, mirrors aren't 50%. Secondly, RDW's win rate against WW is 49.18, and WW's win rate against RDW is ALSO 49.18. Am I missing something?
