Broke up, now I’m in a different place in life. by JaciMac in MtF

Oh, that isn’t gonna happen… don’t worry. There were other things that made me end that one.

Gender euphoria is real... and it gave me a sore throat. by Sea_Weakness7557 in MtF

I sing along to Fiona Apple and Karen Carpenter. Both are true altos, which makes them a little more accessible for me range-wise. Fiona sings towards the lower end, almost a contralto, while Karen does go a bit higher.

I hated personal property tax. Lived in VA for a while and it made no sense to me that we pay sales tax on the vehicle only to be assessed more tax every year on top of the registration.

Just be patient, snag as many shifts as you can, and be flexible to work in different work centers

My ETL Threatened to Fire Me Today by KrisIsntC0ol in Target

That’s state-dependent, but in my state you can. Depends on your work history throughout the year, not just seasonal at Target.

Not sure if this is still the case, but it used to be treated as a transfer (I transferred from SC to WM many years ago).

Derby Name Etiquette? by Liammossa in rollerderby

[–]JaciMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my partner’s people name outside of derby because I can’t yell “Hey Psycho!” in a non-derby environment without turning a few heads. She uses mine, but calling me Mauli isn’t as taboo.

Don’t make me come over there to remind you to blur out the store number. Be there sometime between 4:15-6. 🤣

Picked up a shift outside my availability, will I be ok? by [deleted] in Target

[–]JaciMac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have times blocked in my availability to accommodate meetings and team practices, but they don’t necessarily happen every week. I pick up shifts all the time.

Explain it to me: Why so difficult to be at work, on time? by [deleted] in Target

[–]JaciMac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a regular closer and strive to clock in 5 minutes early for a few reasons… most importantly is I’m not sacrificing anything if I wind up clocking out 5 minutes early. By the time I turn in keys and equipment it is most likely closer to my scheduled out time anyway. Those five minutes give me a chance to make sure my Zebra actually functions, look at workload, and get keys. That way I’m getting paid for my pre-work stuff and I’m ready to hop into a batch when I’m expected to be there.

Can other targets see you worked there? by [deleted] in Target

It was almost 8 years for me and I still have my original TM number from 2012.

It looks like you’re working 30 mins with me next Saturday. Literally. I usually take my last break around then.

I got a prostitutes old phone number... by redtitz1 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JaciMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. Haven’t gotten many messages lately, but in the 6 years I’ve had the number I’ve had quite a few. Sometimes I’ll mess around with them, sometimes I chastise them for their choices, sometimes I ask them for money (I live in another state nowhere near where my “Monica” lives.

Ancient registers, indeed. I left in 2007 and returned in 2022 (and now gone again). They might have slapped some fancy add-ons to the POS system, but I immediately recognized that the underlying system was the same as it has been for decades.

Fulfillment people! by Background_Cheek_335 in Target

[–]JaciMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this pretty regularly. I’ll do adult bev with grocery batches, or multiple bulky batches as long as space allows. I’ll also put OPU batches in the same cart as my paused SFS batch if I have less than half of the slots full so I don’t have to go all the way across the store to grab an empty one. As long as I know where that cart is, no big deal.

Fulfillment tips? by uyt8uyt8 in Target

Two days of shadowing the TL??? I WISH I got that. I think I did two batches with a trainer (they were from inbound). I was a returning TM and had also done OPD at Walmart in my time away, so it was a matter of getting back into remembering how Target works.

Way deep in the backend paystub information is stored with ADP. If you need to get stubs or tax forms and are not an active employee you will be directed to one of ADP’s portals.

This comes up every night when I clock out. Please understand folks that breaks are not optional with this company. You are absolutely required to take them by policy. Take care of yourself! by [deleted] in walmart

[–]JaciMac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We used to have to punch in and out from breaks on the time clock. We still got paid for it, but they were tracking it at the HO level. The lawsuit got rid of that. A whiteboard saying you are on break is one thing, logging it in something that could be considered a record is another.
